Keroncong band performance

It’s actually the name of aĀ ukulele-like instrument & anĀ IndonesianĀ musical style which typically makes use of the keroncong (i.e. The soundĀ chrong-chrong-chrongĀ comes from this instrument). So, the bandĀ consists of aĀ flute, a violin šŸŽ» , a melody guitar šŸŽø , a cello, string bass in pizzicato style & with either a female / a male singer šŸ‘©šŸ½ā€šŸŽ¤šŸ‘ØšŸ½ā€šŸŽ¤

She šŸ‘©šŸ» has learnt that 1ļøāƒ£ ukulele named “cak”, a steel-stringed. The instrumentalist strums chords with up to 8ļøāƒ£ strums per beat in 4/4 rhythm. The off-beat strums are often accentuated. The other ukulele named “cuk” is slightly larger & has nylon strings. As a set, both the “cak” & “cuk” form an interlocking pair that mostly gives Kroncong its characteristic kron & chong šŸ˜Š

Tor Tor Dance & Gordang Sembilan

Tor Tor dance & 9ļøāƒ£ great drumbeats/ percussion (Gordang Sembilan in Malaysia šŸ‡²šŸ‡¾ ‘s national language)Ā are theĀ cultural heritage of Malaysia šŸ‡²šŸ‡¾ ‘s Mandailing community, which originally came from Mandailing, North Sumatera of Indonesia šŸ‡®šŸ‡©

It’s a slow motion dance with the movement of the feet / toe to toe šŸ‘£ & hand šŸ¤ššŸ» movements with a music šŸŽµšŸŽ¶ rhythm played with the traditional music instruments e.g. Gondang, Flute, Trumpet šŸŽŗ etc. At present, Tor tor dance is to celebrating harvesting, welcoming guests, wedding šŸ¤µšŸ¾šŸ‘°šŸ½ ceremonies. No āŒ longer associated with the religious / mystical ceremonies in the past years

Kuda Kepang

It was 1ļøāƒ£st introduced in the early 20th century when Javanese immigrants šŸ‡®šŸ‡©šŸ‘šŸ‘¬šŸ‘«, who brought this unique dance & 1ļøāƒ£st arrived in the southern tip ofĀ  West Malaysia šŸ‡²šŸ‡¾ It’s usually performed by 9 to 15 pax, usually all men dancers traditional Javanese clothes

In the past years, Kuda Kepang is believed to have a strong linkage to the spirit world, however at present it becomes a regular dance performance for the birthday šŸŽ‚ of the Sultan of Johor, state government celebrations & cultural shows in Malaysia šŸ‡²šŸ‡¾

It’s a traditional Javanese braided hobbyhorse dance & in the dance performance, all the dancers will ride the 2ļøāƒ£D mock horse which is traditionally made of bamboo šŸŽšŸŽ‹, then painted & decorated with colorful paints and cloth to resemble a horse šŸŽ šŸ“ Some of the dance movements in the Kuda Kepang rituals are based on traditional Malay silat

Yeahā€¼ļø For the 1ļøāƒ£st time, SiennyLovesDrawing šŸ‘©šŸ» has recently travelled ā›“šŸŽ’šŸ•¶šŸ§¢šŸ‘Ÿto Bintan Island šŸŒ“ šŸ–šŸ, Indonesia šŸ‡®šŸ‡© & she šŸ‘©šŸ» is gonna sharing the 5ļøāƒ£Ā Must-See šŸ‘€ tourist destinationsšŸ“šŸ“ being discoveredšŸ˜šŸ˜ƒ

Yes āœ…, not to be missed yaā€¼ļøšŸ˜šŸ¤©

She šŸ‘©šŸ» loves šŸ’— all the placesšŸ“šŸ“as you may observe all the beautiful šŸ˜šŸ˜ captures šŸ“øšŸ“ø shared in this blogging šŸ‘©šŸ»ā€šŸ’»šŸ“, sure you wanna visit & enjoy snapping beautiful šŸ˜šŸ˜ photos šŸ“øšŸ“ø for your social postings too āœŒšŸ»šŸ˜‰

Hmm…How to travel to Bintan IslandšŸŒ“šŸ–šŸ, Indonesia šŸ‡®šŸ‡©ā“ā‰ļø

You may ride on either,

  • The Roll-On Roll Off (RORO) train ship šŸš¢

This option with cheaper fare of approximately IDR 20K & 2ļøāƒ£ hours journey šŸš¢

You will get a chance to meet & mingle with the locals šŸ‡®šŸ‡©šŸ‘«šŸ‘šŸ‘¬ during the RORO ride šŸš¢

SiennyLovesDrawing šŸ‘©šŸ» & friends šŸ‘šŸ‘¬šŸ‘« have opted for this & you may enjoy her vlog šŸ“¹šŸŽ„ ~ visual experience being captured from her 1ļøāƒ£st RORO ride šŸš¢

  • The Private Speedboat šŸš¤

This option slightly more expensive if you wish to save travel time as it takes just 15mins ride & provide privacy to you. It departs from jetty āš“ļø named Telaga Punggur, Batam Island šŸŒ“šŸ–šŸ to Tanjung Uban, Bintan Island šŸŒ“šŸ–šŸ

So, where are the 5ļøāƒ£ Must-VisitšŸ‘€ā“ā‰ļø

1ļøāƒ£Ā Bintan Sand Dunes Desert šŸŖ šŸŒµšŸ«

It’s known as Gurun Pasir BusungĀ šŸŖšŸŒµšŸ«in Indonesian language šŸ‡®šŸ‡©

Guess whatā“ā‰ļø

It’s naturally formed from its mining site originally. It was abandoned & then being a well known desert destination in this island šŸŒ“šŸ–šŸŒ“ for both local & foreign tourists šŸ‘¬šŸ‘šŸ‘«

You will definitely love its clean white sandy landscapes šŸ˜šŸ¤©

Definitely a favourite spotšŸ“for many photographers šŸ“øšŸ“ø to capture a stunning view of this naturally formed landscape with blue blue sky during sunny ā˜€ļøšŸ˜Ž weather especially

2ļøāƒ£Ā Bintan Blue Oasis šŸ’¦šŸ’§

It’s known as Telaga BiruĀ in Indonesian languagešŸ‡®šŸ‡©

Yeahā€¼ļø In every desert sure there is an oasis šŸ’¦šŸ’§here too, amazing šŸ˜‰ā€¼ļø Yes āœ…, this oasis šŸ’¦šŸ’§ just within the same site of the sand dunes šŸ˜ƒ

She šŸ‘©šŸ» loves ā¤ļø the crystal tiffany blue lake šŸ’¦šŸ’§ which actually developed from a large crater in this abandoned mining site & was graduallyĀ filledĀ withĀ rain water ā˜”ļøšŸ’¦šŸ’§ There is a small entrance fee šŸŽŸ of IDR šŸ”ŸK per pax šŸ˜€

Hmm…SiennyLovesDrawing šŸ‘©šŸ» & friends šŸ‘«šŸ‘šŸ‘¬ have opted for a private tour with transport šŸšŒšŸš to reachĀ this beautiful sand dunes šŸ˜šŸ“

Do enjoy a meal šŸ½šŸ“1ļøāƒ£st before visiting it as not much dining places available nearby this site šŸ˜‹šŸ¤¤

AddressšŸ“: Jl. Raya Busung, Busung, Seri Kuala Lobam, Kabupaten Bintan, Kepulauan Riau 29152, Indonesia

Opening hoursšŸ•–: 7ļøāƒ£am to 6ļøāƒ£pm daily

3ļøāƒ£Ā Pemancingan šŸŽ£ Poyotomo (in Indonesian language šŸ‡®šŸ‡©)

Once stepped šŸ‘£ in, you will be amazed šŸ¤© with its beautiful šŸ˜šŸ˜ scenery & a background of Mt Bintan ā›°

Sharing here a fun factšŸ“Œ, this Mt Bintan ā›° just about 400m, but why known as Mt. Bintan & not Bintan Hillā“ā‰ļø

Reason being it’s on an island šŸŒ“šŸ–šŸ, so it forms a highest point ā¬†ļø & hence Mt Bintan instead ā›°

Fishing šŸŽ£ lovers ā¤ļøšŸ’— must visitā€¼ļøšŸ˜

Not to worry if you forgot your fishing šŸŽ£ tools as you can rent with a small fee šŸ’°šŸ’µ & enjoy your fishing pleasure šŸŽ£šŸ’—šŸ˜ƒ

You can opt for a meal šŸ½šŸ“dining & rent a small cottage šŸ” built along the fishing lake šŸŽ£šŸ’¦šŸ’§šŸž (IDR 30k each) during your visit here to chill, relaxing rest šŸ˜ŒšŸ˜‰ while enjoying the peaceful environment šŸ˜šŸ¤©

Also a camping tent šŸ•ā›ŗļø overnight here šŸŒƒšŸŒŒ

AddressšŸ“: Desa Bintan Buyu, Teluk Bintan, Bintan Buyu, Tlk. Bintan, Kabupaten Bintan, Kepulauan Riau 29133, Indonesia

4ļøāƒ£Ā Trikora Beachside šŸŒŠšŸ–šŸ

SiennyLovesDrawing šŸ‘©šŸ» & her friends šŸ‘«šŸ‘šŸ‘¬have enter the beachside viaĀ Madu Tiga Beach & Resort šŸŒ“šŸ–šŸšŸ”šŸ˜šŸ šŸ”

The resort šŸ”šŸ˜šŸ šŸ” also made some beautiful šŸ˜šŸ˜ set ups e.g. swings, hammocks etc. for its guests šŸ‘šŸ‘¬šŸ‘« to relaxing & rest šŸ˜ŒšŸ˜‰

You may observe šŸ‘€ the famous scene in Bintan Island šŸŒ“šŸ–šŸwith the rows of “kelongs” in Indonesia language šŸ‡®šŸ‡© i.e. the fish šŸŽ£ šŸŸ traps/ houses on boats šŸš£šŸ»ā€ā™€ļøšŸš£šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļø in the middle of the sea šŸŒŠ

The fishermen actually hang out their nets to catch small fishes šŸŸšŸŸ with it

In her next visit to here, she šŸ‘©šŸ» would like to visit the “kelongs” šŸŽ£šŸŸ as well as opting for a stay atĀ the beautiful šŸ˜šŸ˜ traditional chalet within this resort šŸ”šŸ šŸ˜šŸ”šŸ

It’s a beautiful šŸ˜šŸ¤© & relaxing šŸ˜ŒšŸ˜Ž environment for your enjoyment with plenty of activities e.g. horse šŸŽšŸ“ riding, paddle boats šŸš£šŸ»ā€ā™€ļøšŸš£šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļø , fishing šŸŽ£ , swimming šŸŠšŸ»ā€ā™€ļøšŸŠšŸ»ā€ā™‚ļø etc.

Deputy Assistant of Marketing I Regional I Ministry of Tourism, Ms Dessy Ruhati šŸ™‹šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø, revealed that “We wish Batam šŸŒ“šŸ–šŸ to gainning stronger branding as a tourist destinationšŸ“internationallyĀ not only for its beaches šŸšŸ– & shopping šŸ›’šŸ›, also for challenging sports tourism šŸƒšŸ»ā€ā™€ļøšŸƒšŸ»ā€ā™‚ļø

“In addition to Batam Island šŸŒ“šŸ–šŸ, of course this sport tourism šŸƒšŸ»ā€ā™€ļøšŸƒšŸ»ā€ā™‚ļøhas been developed in several regions in Indonesia šŸ‡®šŸ‡© We hope that this BTR5K šŸƒšŸ»ā€ā™€ļøšŸƒšŸ»ā€ā™‚ļøwill be developed better, so that in the future there will be opportunities to become part of the 2019 Ministry of Tourism’s Coender of Events & become an attraction for foreign touristsšŸ‘šŸ‘¬šŸ‘« further elaborated by Ms Dessy RuhatišŸ™‹šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø

Hmm…Where she šŸ‘©šŸ» loves šŸ’— themā“ā‰ļø

(1) Black seamless tankeešŸ–¤šŸŽ½(šŸŒhttps://www.theshapee.com/shop/seamless-tankee/)

Very comfortable šŸ˜Œ for her long race šŸƒšŸ»ā€ā™€ļø of 15km with it (underneath her race tshirt šŸ‘š) as it was made with a highly durable materialšŸ‘šŸ»

SurelyĀ look great šŸ‘šŸ» with itā€¼ļø None bulky & it provides a smooth silhouette especially herĀ waistline šŸ˜

(2) Black shaping tight šŸ–¤šŸ‘– (šŸŒ https://www.theshapee.com/shop/shaping-tights/)

She šŸ‘©šŸ» loves šŸ’— its light weight & breathable materials while wearing it from her toes šŸ‘£ up with graduated compression ā¤“ļø

Not to worry, she šŸ‘©šŸ» wasn’t feeling its compression at all during her long race šŸƒšŸ»ā€ā™€ļøwith it, very comfortable šŸ˜ŒšŸ‘šŸ»

It’s strentchable, so suitable to wearing it for your daily exercise routines eg. gym, jogging šŸƒšŸ»ā€ā™€ļø, yoga šŸ§˜šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø, zumba šŸ¤øšŸ»ā€ā™€ļø, cycling šŸš“šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø etc.
