Hmm…The only unfavourable point is it does bleed through the paper, just that not too heavily obvious. The ink bleeds sometimes & shows through the back of the paper. She is not really a fan of the pen’s body, they’re too bulky to fit in a standard pencil case & also her small hands to hold & using it

The 2️⃣-line widths, 2️⃣mm & 5️⃣mm which are ideal for highlighting texts of various sizes as well as for drawing lines of different thicknesses. STA has launched since June 2020 is responsible for marketing Saudi’s tourism destinations worldwide & developing the destination’s offering through programs, packages & business support. Bako National Park

Guess what❓⁉️

It’s the oldest & smallest national park in Sarawak, gazetted in 1957. It covers an area of 27.27 square kilometres at the tip of the Muara Tebas peninsula & well known for its diverse ecosystems, coastline, jungle trekking & endangered proboscis monkeys. It’s home to rare, bizarre, obscene-nosed proboscis monkeys, found only in Borneo

You can go on your own to Bako Nationals Park 🏞️, not necessary need a nature guide / private tour arrangements. A special thanks 🙏🏻 to the great efforts 💯👍🏻 by the Sarawak Forestry Department to ensure the clear signage 🪧 , colour coding trail marking, good proper walking trails etc.

Wind Cave Nature Reserve & Fairy Cave Nature Reserve

Both are located near the town of Bau. Gold mining was the main activity in Bau in the 1840s with the Chinese being the main player in this industry. The mining of gold is still being carried out today

Wind Cave aka Lubang Angin

It’s believed its name derived from the cooling breeze blowing continuously through the cave. It’s a smooth, tubular limestone cave formed during the Jurrassic-Cretaceous period ie. Roughly 60 million years ago

It’s gazetted as a nature reserve park 🏞️ by the Sarawak government to protect the numerous bio diversities here. There are around 14 different bat 🦇 species, 12 species of snails 🐌 , black nest swiftlets & various rare orchids & palms 🌴at the nature reserve

It’s made up of 3️⃣ unlit tubular passages

Before entering, all visitors must watch the required safety video at the visitor center 1️⃣st. The Sarawak Forestry Department really does a great 💯👍🏻 job with information & descriptions of how the cave was formed through informational graphics at the visitor center, bravo & keep it up 👏🏻🙌🏻

A 1️⃣K meter plank walk runs throughout the length of the cave, easy & safe to explore it, although the interior of the cave is unlit & a torchlight 🔦 is essential. A small stream meanders through the cave & joins the Sarawak River at the northern end. The main cave passages are wide & flat, while the smaller passages form an irregular network in the northern section of the cave

The Wind Cave’s main features include stalagmites, stalactites & pillars which form when these 2️⃣ join together. Other features include conical cavities separated by blade-like pinnacles of limestone, limestone pendants hanging from the roof of the cave passage & current scallops which have a honeycomb appearance & indicate the direction of the water flow

There is ❌ lighting at all at Wind Cave (To avoid disturbing the bats 🦇 ) so after walking for a min, visitors will completely reliant on torch light 🔦 which is indispensable for this cave. It’s recommended to show your torch light 🔦on your feet 👣 area & not on the wall to avoid scared the bats 🦇

Yellow 💛 reflective stickers line the route & there are railings on both sides of the path so visitors cannot fall off or get lost. Notice boards 🪧 at periodic intervals provide information on the species living in the cave, including Dusky Fruit Bats 🦇

For safety reasons, all visitors must wear proper outdoor attire, shoes 👟 & prepare torchlight 🔦 in order to enter the caves. You may rent at ticket counter for cover show & headlamp with a small fee ya

Tips on What to Bring/Wear

• Wear sturdy close-toed footwear with good grips 👟 as some of the paths are slippery, especially outside the cave
• Wear a hat/ cap 👒🎩🧢 unless you think bat droppings are good for hair
• Wear an effective insect repellent, or wear long sleeves & long trousers 👖 with long socks
• Gloves 🧤 are not a bad idea as the hand rails in the cave are guano encrusted
• Bring some drinking water. It’s really hot & humid to spend 30mins inside the cave
• Don’t forget the headlamp/ torch 🔦 The headlamp sort is preferable. Make sure you’ve change with 🆕 batteries 🔋 ya

Fairy Cave aka Gua Pari/ Gua Kapor

It’s gazetted as a nature reserve park by the Sarawak government to protect the numerous bio diversities here. There are around 14 different bat species, 12 species of snails, black nest swiftlets & various rare orchids & palms at the nature reserve

It’s about 30mins drive from Kuching city center & 8km away from Wind Cave

Upon arrival, there is a visitor center with washroom 🚽

Fairy Cave has a light filled cavernous main chamber. The limestone stalactites takes so much time to build up ie. approximately 🔟cm every thousand years, wow 😲

The cave formations were so interesting & SiennyLovesDrawing couldn’t help but stop & stare at them every few steps 👩🏻🤩😍 Absolutely stunning natural formation here, impressive beautiful ❤️

This mystical cave sits approximately 30m above the ground & it’s believed to be the home for Chinese gods & goddess. The unique cavern & rock formations at Fairy Cave is unlike any other limestone caves,it simply amazes & impressed all with how beautiful our mother nature is 😍🤩

To get to the caves, visitors will have to climb up the 5️⃣ storey high stairs. As you make your way up, you will notice various sign boards educating visitors on the flora & fauna available at this nature reserve. At the very top of it, then reach the viewpoint of the surrounding area with a beautiful backdrop of the nearby terrains

There are 3️⃣ trails ie. Twilight Trail (30mins on average & covering a distance of 343m), Dark Trail (It proceed onwards for another 15 to 20mins along the 250m unlit pathway) & Gunung Kapor Summit Trail (Most challenging & it requires a guide & permit approval in advance)

SiennyLovesDrawing has completed 👩🏻🚶🏻‍♀️💯✅ both the Twilight Trail & Dark Trail for a short day trip here with other PATA delegates

Fairy Cave is well equipped for rock climbing. There are 8️⃣ walls with various difficulty for visitors to try out & all being certified by the International Mountaineering & Climbing Federation (IMCF)

Tips on What to Bring/Wear

• It’s closed during heavy rain, thunderstorms, lightning occurrences & strong winds. So, do weather check 1️⃣st before visiting it
• If you plan to drive to Fairy Cave, do ensure that car tyre & brakes are working well
• No vandalism, littering, smoking & destructive behaviour will be tolerated
• Wear reliable close-toed footwear when visiting the caves, as some parts of the trail are slippery when wet. You won’t be allowed to enter the cave if you’re using sandals. Note: Can rent “Adidas Kampung”, a locally made footwear often used for outdoor activities at the booth just beside the entrance
• Mind your head as certain parts the cave have a lower ceiling & watch out for falling rock 🪨
• Take along your gloves 🧤 if you have them as the handrails here are often coated with bat guano
• Carry along some drinking water as the caves can get pretty hot & humid
• To bring a headlamp/ torch light 🔦  Note: Can rent from the counter for a small fee

Siniawan Old Town

Siniawan is a small town in the Bau district, about 20km away from Kuching. The Siniawan Heritage Fiesta celebrates the cultural heritage of the small town with unique Hakka legacy in Sarawak. In fact, Siniawan also a sister town to Hukou 湖口, an old town in Taiwan’s 🇹🇼 Hakka heartland Hsinchu

SiennyLovesDrawing 👩🏻🍽️😋 was here during the day time for a lunch dining at Ayak Gallery Cafe. Then, slow walking🚶🏻‍♀️to enjoy the heritage street with 2️⃣ rows of old shops (24 shops on each side). Very calm & quiet during the day time

During the weekends ie. 5pm – 10.30pm Friday to Sunday, Siniawan’s street comes alive with stalls selling food & snacks. Yes ✅, when the Siniawan Night Market is set up along the streets of the town, it offers a wide variety of local delicacies & street snacks. The main attraction of this night market is the abundance of Chinese lanterns 🏮🏮that change the way the street looks, turning it into a movie-like setting 🤩😍

Yes ✅, this is the 5️⃣th festival to celebrate the pineapple harvesting season with the local community here. This annual festival started since year 2019

From SiennyLovesDrawing’s 1️⃣st participation, it was really exciting fun to visit & explore the wide pineapple flowers & pineapples plantation of 🔟K hectares. Absolutely worth a superb early wake up to gather & ride with 4️⃣ wheel drive, old school bus 🚌 or lorry 🚛 etc. to reach here & then slowly walking 🚶🏻‍♀️ down this mesmerizing pineapples maze 🤩🍍

Highly recommended 💯👍🏻 this eye-opening experience of visiting the pineapples plantation to learn more from growing until harvesting the pineapples 🍍🍍 She is gonna bring along her little niece 👩🏻👧🏻 to participate next year as she believes this FBN is rich with educational values for the younger generations

Tips📌 : From her recent visiting experience, it’s not advisable to wear short pants 🩳  to avoid getting hurt by the sharp teeth pineapple 🍍 leaves & must bring mosquitoes repellent ❌🦟 to avoid getting mosquitoes attack while waiting for sunrise 🌄 in the dark ya 

The harvest appreciation ceremony 🙏🏻🍍 was held at 6 o’clock in the morning of 28 Jan 2024, yes ✅, when the sun 🌞 rises up 

Guess what❓⁉️

SiennyLovesDrawing & her media friends 👫🏽👭🏻👬👫 actually woke up at 4am that morning to depart from hotel & then gather at Mumu Farm 新邦黄梨园 to ride with other participants in either the 4️⃣ wheel drive, old school bus 🚌 or lorry 🚛 etc. to reach the plantation

 Although she slept 🛌 only an hour because busy chit chatting with her roommate 😂😆, she was like a blur panda 🐼 that morning, hahaha 🤪🤣

She had a great 👍🏻 time, absolutely worth it especially the moment from dark to bright with sun rising 🌞🌄

Before the worship ceremony began, Duo Space Dance Theatre 共享空间专业舞团, a team of professional modern dance troupe from Kuala Lumpur has performed 2️⃣amazing opening dance 💃🏻🕺🏻 performances namely Wind “《风》” &  City vs Rural “《城市•乡土》”. When the sun rose 🌄, the Kluang Chung Hwa Secondary School took over the stage & led the 24 Festive Drums 🥁 performance 二十四节令鼓 The festival ceremony continued with 2️⃣ students from Kluang Chung Hwa Secondary School 居銮中华中学 recited a poem & followed by an opening & welcome speech by YB Chew Chong Sin 周忠信 👨🏻‍💼 to kick off this annual FBN ceremony

YB Chew Chong Sin 周忠信 👨🏻‍💼 shared that through the processing & packaging with modern technology, pineapple 🍍 flowers can improve ⬆️ productivity & production value in order to increase ⬆️ economic income. He hopes that through the pineapple flower festival, it will attract farmers 👩🏻‍🌾👨🏻‍🌾, also introduce government policy & supports to bring greater 👍🏻 & comprehensive agricultural benefits to developing this agriculture industry. He expressed his belief that through 5️⃣ years of efforts & hard works, this FBN has gained as a high-profile local annual festival that combines agriculture, food processing & agricultural tourism in Malaysia 🇲🇾

FBN also injects elements of special agricultural tourism, relying on the resources of Malaysia’s 🇲🇾 agricultural land to enhance economic value, connect ↔️ industry players & create economic opportunities for local communities. He also elaborated that the pineapple 🍍 industry can leverage its transformation to develop agricultural food processing & agricultural tourism to ensure food security & stable production 💯

There were more than 120 participants 🧑🏻‍🤝‍🧑🏻👭🏻👬🏼👫🏻 (An increased no. from previous years) holding high the pineapple flowers in their hands 🍍✋🏻 during sunrise 🌄  & worshipped together towards the 4️⃣ directions of South, East, North & West to praying for a peaceful & prosperity for this 🆕 year 2024 ㊗️🈴🈵🧧🏮

All shouted loudly “Heng 兴, Ong 旺 ， Huat 发 ah”

Pineapple 🍍 (Ananas comosus) is a tropical plant with an edible fruit, it’s the most economically significant plant in the family Bromeliaceae. This exotic fruit 🍍actually comes from a flowering plant, it grows from the leafy tops of it ie. The ornamental pineapple aka pineapple flower 黄梨花 (Ananas comosus Champaca)

SiennyLovesDrawing 👩🏻 was told by some of the farmers 👨🏻‍🌾👩🏻‍🌾 at the festival that by simply cutting the crown off the top of each pineapple 🍍 & placing it in soil to grow more pineapples. Seriously & it doesn’t require for much care, wow 🤩 That’s really easy as once planted the crown of the pineapple 🍍, it forms roots & begins to grow 🆕 & leafy green foliage. The 🆕 plant will then start to flower small florets which will form in the middle of the foliage & rise. At 1️⃣st, the florets have red ♥️ & pink 💗 tones before finally turning yellow 💛 once ripe. Ohh ya…Once plucked, pineapples will immediately stop its ripe progress ya ☺️

SiennyLovesDrawing 👩🏻 has learnt that it takes approximately 18 to 24 months to grow & harvest pineapple flowers during this media trip to Simpang Renggam, Kluang, Johor ie. The largest pineapple 🍍 growing area in Malaysia 🇲🇾  This also the pioneer startup place since 1931 of the late Mr. Lee Kong Chian & his family ie. Lee Pineapple

This pineapple plantation area is developing into its leisure tourism with pineapple theme, so local & foreign tourists here can enjoy watching the sunrise 🌅, sunset 🌄, starry night 🌃🌌🌠  or a full moon 🌕 🌝

Every year the sales of pineapple flowers will increase ⬆️ with a steady stream of orders to cope with the Lunar CNY 农历新年, Tiangong Festival 天公誕 & Lantern Festival. People believe that pineapple 🍍 flowers will bring auspicious omens, sweep away bad luck & ushering good luck 🧧🈵 for a 🆕 year. It’s a must-have on the table as an indispensable offering for gods worship

Hey 👋🏻 all, SiennyLovesDrawing 👩🏻💖 would like to share that she was 1️⃣ of the 🔟 invited media practitioners consisting of representatives electronic media, content producers & social media influencers who are being brought participate in the 3️⃣D2️⃣N #CutiCutiMalaysia 2023  “Pakat Mai Perlis” Media Influencer Tour Program that being organised by Tourism Malaysia recently in early Dec 2023 to explore the interesting ecotourism products, special interest tourism & gastronomy around Arau, Padang Besar & Kangar of Perlis, Malaysia 🇲🇾 

This program aims to increase ⬆️ media involvement to help promote online the domestic tourism products, especially on social media platforms

Among the tourist locations 📍📍 highlighted in this trip was the amazing 😍 🤩 experience of exploring Wang Burma Cave 🥾⛰️🏞️ located at Kaki Bukit ie. Within the Perlis Geopark. All 🔟 invited media members have kick started their exploration with challenging activities that test their adrenaline with ATV Bintong, then enjoyed explore the unique beautifully hand painted 🎨🖌️👩🏻‍🎨👨🏻‍🎨 Kangar Street Art by the 15 local Perlis artists after participated in the relaxing media chat & dinner 🍽️🗣️👤👥, including a Dec babies birthday celebration 🎉 🎈 🎂 with Perlis State tourism industry activists at Fairy Le Phenomenal

The next day, all went to visit the Arau Royal Gallery 👑 to view the exhibition of the Perlis royal collection. Then, went to attend the official launch of the  41 Perlis State Ecotourism Packages by Tourism Malaysia at Gua Kelam 🥾⛰️🏞️ It was officiated by Mr. Mohamed Amin Yahya 🙋🏽‍♂️, Senior Director of Tourism Malaysia’s Domestic & Event Division. These packages form part of an initiative to promote the Perlis state in conjunction with the upcoming Visit Perlis Year 2024-2025. The launch ended successfully with a tasty delicious catering lunch 🍽️😋💯

Street art 🎨🖌️ always a creative way of revamping dark alleys & mouldy walls with a burst of colours, sketches & artworks ~ Most important it beautifying a space & make it Instagram worthy to capture moments here 📹📸

SiennyLovesDrawing 👩🏻 was here at night & with a privilege to meet the Chairman of Persatuan Perlukis Negeri Perlis, Mr Yaakob Abd Aziz aka Cikgu Yaakob 👨🏽‍💼 He has shared that all wall murals here for version 2.0 are 💯% hand painted by all 15 artists from Perlis 👩🏻‍🎨👨🏻‍🎨🎨🖌️

There are approximately 25 different art paintings on the stretching of about 95m wall & street floor which featuring 2️⃣D & 3️⃣D artworks that run along the theme of heritage & nostalgia. It’s amazed to note that each artwork painted actually incorporates elements with the locals’ hearts to then reflecting the unique Perlis identity

The earlier version 1.0 which were artworks being contributed by students from across Malaysia 🇲🇾 all already being cleaned before the repaint of this existing version 2.0

Wang Burma Cave

Hmm…SiennyLovesDrawing 👩🏻 learnt about this cave during her Perlis State Park night walk in earlier trip & then she has now explored this cave in both of its dry & wet route for the 1️⃣st time

This cave is located in the Perlis State Park & known as a Geosite near the Malaysia-Thailand border, ie. Approximately 2️⃣km from Wang Kelian town. Wang Burma Cave consists of Setul Formation limestone & most of the rocks have been metamorphosed due to the location of this cave being too close to the granite body in Bukit China

Wang Burma Cave is divided into 2️⃣, namely Gua Wang Burma 1️⃣ & Gua Wang Burma 2️⃣. It’s 1️⃣ of the most famous caves in Perlis for its uniqueness of stalactites & stalagmites that were formed millions of years ago

From her cave exploring experience, the route to explore Cave Wang Burma 2️⃣ is more challenging & it has a high level of difficulty because she has to wade through the small river of the cave, infiltrate the small cave holes so she has to crawl, squat down & walk like a duck 🦆 There are thousands of bats 🦇🦇 hanging from the roof of the cave

Tips 📌 from her own experience,

✅ Must wear safety helmet ⛑️ 🪖, she countless how many times she hit her head while squat down to go through the small cave hole & low area of river walking
✅ Wear bright clothing so that your travel mates & nature guide see you inside the dark cave
✅ Bring water proof bag to keep your phone
✅ Wear aqua shoe👟 & headlamp/ torch🔦
✅ Bring water bottle
❌ Big bag as at low area & small cave holes really limited space
❌ Touch any stone cave formations as some still alive & growing, she was told once touch, some will die

It’s not the many known Pulau Ketam that near & with ferry ⛴️ departure from Port Klang, Selangor

It’s Malaysia’s 🇲🇾 1️⃣st drive-thru bakery & cafe ie. A branch under the Fairy’s Group which founded in 1983 by Tan’s siblings ie. Tan Ah Kiang & Tan Kooi Hwak. Its main business of manufacturing & distributing various types of cakes, breads, pastries & other Fairy’s food items

Ohh…SiennyLovesDrawing got amazed with its strong Christmas vibes when stepped in to this 2️⃣-storey cafe, she then was welcomed by a big teddy bear 🧸 sitting on a sofa next to a Christmas tree 🎄 Lol 😆🤩 She went straight to hug the bear for a photo 📸 She enjoys the personal collection displayed in this cafe too

It was a delicious tasty western cum fusion buffet dinner to meet & greet with the Tourism Malaysia Northern Region officers 🍽️😋 Hmm…She loves the spaghetti 🍝 especially 

After dinner, she went to upstairs dining area to capture some of its decorations, artworks exhibited & a balcony overlooking the night view of the street

YBhg. Dato’ Dr. Ammar Abd. Ghapar, Director General of Tourism Malaysia said, “This eco tourism package is an initiative to introduce eco-tourism activities available in Perlis for tourists.

This is also in line with the support for sustainable tourism in line with the Perlis state declaration made National Geopark with the name Perlis Geopark recently.”

Perlis Geopark is 1,001 sqm including marine boundaries, with a population of about 284K people. It’s rich in 23 geological diversity sites, 8 biological diversity & 12 local cultural sites. Of the 23 geological diversity sites with 3 international, 14 national & 6 local

The uniqueness of the geology in Perlis Geopark is that it has the oldest rock unit in Malaysia between the ages of 541 million & the 66 million-year-old rock units. Visitors can see a variety of terrain consisting of limestone formations, cars hill, corrugated low hills & coastal plains. The Nakawan Range which along the Malaysia-Thailand 🇹🇭🇲🇾 border (36km) is the longest limestone in Malaysia 

“The launch of this eco-tourism package is also a preparation for promoting the Visit Malaysia Year which has set arrival targets a total of 26.1million foreign tourists with an estimated domestic expenditure of RM97.6billion.” He elaborated further

A total of 41 Perlis eco-tourism packages have been developed by 8️⃣ travel operators such as Unic Astana Holidays Sdn Bhd, Smart Leisure Travels Sdn Bhd, CS Yeap Travel & Tours Sdn Bhd, M. Maha-Izah Transport & Tours Sdn Bhd, MLS Holidays Sdn Bhd, Tanjak Adventure Tour Sdn Bhd, Ad-Deeni Travel & Tours Sdn Bhd & Megalits Travel Sdn Bhd.

The package & travel bookings can be made until 31 Dec 2024 with some packages have a valid travel period until 31 March 2025. For adding to the appeal, there are packages that offer discounts of up to 🔟% of the original price

SiennyLovesDrawing 👩🏻💕  really enjoyed the calmness & peacefulness from this sound bath session. Hmm…Just that she was hoping in her heart ❤️ that she can have a deep sleep 😴  when she 1️⃣st lay down on yoga mat & closed her eyes. But she didn’t, instead she felt relaxed 😌

So, she asked Mr Rico the reason, he told that perhaps 1️⃣st time & trust yet to be built. She really jealous that some of her travel mates actually gained deep sleep & heard their snoring 😪😴 Hmm…A good reason for more sessions then

Sunya Meditation follows reverse counting as its primary method, yes ✅, Sunyatees to reverse count from 99 to 0️⃣. Each 1️⃣ count meant for every cycle of breath each take

She felt peaceful within her own self & yawning 🥱 after the meditation. Ms Amy 🧕🏽 has observed it & told her that her daily schedule is packed & sleep 😴  is the answer she gained from her Sunya therapy

The 7️⃣ factors cultivates through Sunya meditation are as below,

1. Mindfulness: Never to get lost or lose own awareness

This Malay breathing exercises as guided by Ms Amy 🧕🏽 has triggered to SiennyLovesDrawing that she has not been paying attention to her daily breathing👃🏻🫁  ie. Auto pilot mode living which is not healthy, she is gonna improve for mindfulness breathing

There are 3️⃣ different methods as listed below,

1️⃣. Normal Breathing

• Breath in & hold for 🔟 counts 
• Then, breath out slowly

2️⃣. 3️⃣ Parts Breathing

• Breath in & hold for 🔟 counts 
• Then, breath out in an equal 3️⃣ parts

3️⃣. Dragon/ Tiger Breathing 

• Breath in & hold for 🔟 counts 
• Then, breath all out promptly at once

Hmm… Personally, she 👩🏻💕 enjoyed most the 3️⃣ method ie. Dragon/ Tiger Breathing

Mr Anderson has kick started his session by self introduction that he is from the Kelabit minority of Sarawak, Malaysia 🇲🇾 ie. The Highlands of Borneo 

Then, he shared that Sape is well known as a healing instrument with its legend spiritual story of a married couple ~ The husband & wife. The wife was sick & in deep coma 🛌🏻 The husband then traveled from one place to another to search for medicine 💊 During his journey, he was too exhausted tired & need a rest. So, he sat down & had a deep sleep 😴 A spirit came to his dream 💭 as his great great grand dad to inform him that his wife is in spirit world. In order to bring her back to the human world, the husband needs to wake up from sleep & cut the tree 🪓🌳 that he slept on just now to make an instrument. It’s named as Sape Bali, it means spirit instrument. After chanting with this Sape Bali, his wife then awake from her coma. The husband has became the 1️⃣st man who heal a person with Sape since then

Mr Anderson 🙋🏻‍♂️ has elaborated that as a Sape player, he/ she will need to heal their own selves 1️⃣st & then transfer the energy to heal others 

SiennyLovesDrawing 👩🏻 got amazed when she learns that the frequency of the Sape instrument will actually sync tune with the nature surrounding to offer calmness 💚😌 She was amazed when the bugs synced in to the Sape tune when Mr Anderson played it, impressive 

In fact, many hospitals in Sarawak, Malaysia 🏥🇲🇾 actually has invited Sape players to play in their wads. Reason being it believes that the frequency from Sape instrument able to kill cancer cells. It’s not the same as the normal frequency for guitar 🎸 or piano 🎹 that are roughly 440 hertz
