This Blueberry Wonder Workshop was held recently from 11am to 2:30pm at the beautiful 😍❤️ KL Wellness City in Bukit Jalil. This event was a feast for the senses, offering a delightful mix of informative talks, culinary demonstrations, hands-on activities & delectable treats centred around the antioxidant-rich Oregon Washington Blueberries 🫐💙🫐
The workshop began with a thought-provoking speech by Mr. Eddie Saw 👨🏻💼, a prominent figure from Total Market Solutions, shedding light on the fascinating journey of blueberries🫐💙🫐 from their origins to their current status as a nutritional powerhouse
Next, a brief session by a representative of KL Wellness City ie. The venue sponsor of this workshop who has shared some insights into the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle to complement this wellness-focused event
Then, the social media influencer & wellness advocate Pn Iman Azman 🧕🏽 took the stage to deliver an engaging talk on the significance of blueberries 🫐💙🫐 in daily lives.These small yet mighty berries have become a staple in modern diets due to their remarkable nutritional value & versatility that can be incorporated into almost any dish & drink
Pn Iman 🧕🏽 has shared, “My little ones especially love blueberries in their cupcakes 🫐🧁 & as a parent I feel more assured adding fresh quality & nutritious ingredients into their favourite snacks & drinks.”

Ohh ya…As promised at the beginning of her blog post, sharing here all the 3️⃣ healthy tasty recipes with Oregon Washington Blueberries🇺🇲💙🫐 learnt from this workshop, let’s enjoy 😋💯👍🏻
To prepare the chicken breast, poke some holes & tenderise the chicken breast using the back of your knife 🔪 & lightly smash it. Once it’s tenderised, marinate with the dry ingredients ie. garlic salt, garlic pepper, paprika & mixed herbs. Give it a good rub & marinade for at least 5️⃣ to 🔟mins
Sear Chicken breast in a pan with some oil on 1️⃣ side for 5️⃣mins until golden brown colour, flip the chicken & continue steam cook the chicken breast with 🔟ml water for another 7️⃣mins to ensure the chicken breast is moist. Once it is cooked thoroughly, rest the chicken for 5️⃣mins before cuffing
Using the same pan packed with flavour to saute zucchini cubes with salt 🧂 & pepper for 4️⃣ to 5️⃣mins & set aside
After that, sauteed pumpkin 🎃 with a little bit of oil, season with salt 🧂& pepper, add in 🔟ml water to continue steam cook for 5️⃣mins until al dante texture
On a pan, toast pumpkin seeds without oil for 5️⃣mins on medium heat until slightly puffed
Prepare quinoa by cooking with boiling seasoned salt water until light & fluffy
Lastly, to prepare creamy lemon sauce, zest half of a lemon & combine mayonnaise, lemon 🍋 zest, lemon 🍋 juice, then season with salt 🧂 & pepper to taste
To assemble the dish, place cooked quinoa on a bowl 🥣, sliced chicken breast, followed by sautéed zucchini & pumpkin 🎃, baby spinach 🌿🌱, toasted pumpkin seeds, dried cranberries, then garnish with fresh blueberries 💙🫐, rosemary & lemon 🍋 zest
Blueberry 🫐 Compote:
Fresh Blueberries 🇺🇲💙🫐 – 50gm
Brown Sugar – 2 tbsp
Water 💧- 80gm
Garnish:
Fresh Blueberries 🇺🇲💙🫐 – 6 or more pcs
Mint Leaf 🌿 – as needed
Gold 💛 Leaf Dust – as needed
How to❓⁉️
To make blueberry 🫐 compote, heat up a pan, put in fresh blueberries 💙🫐, brown sugar & water💧Cook for 5️⃣mins on high heat ♨️, then 10 to 15mins on medium heat until slightly thickened. Set it aside & let it cool before use
ln a mixing bowl 🥣, whip cream cheese until soft & fluffy (Lol 😆 this is the most tiring part that requires lots of energy & arm strength 💪🏻)
In another mixing bowl 🥣, whip up whipped cream until slightly thickened
To prepare the cream cheese filling, lightly fold in whipped cream into the fluffy whipped cream cheese, followed by adding in lemon 🍋 juice, blueberry 💙🫐 compote & vanilla essence
When mixtures are combined. Jill the mixture into a piping bag
To assemble, pipe the cream cheese filling onto baked tart shells, decorate mini tarts with fresh blueberries 💙🫐
Blueberry 🫐 Compote:
Fresh blueberries 🇺🇲💙🫐 – 50gm
Brown sugar – 2 tbsp
Water 💧 – 80gm
Other Ingredients:
Light coconut milk 🥥🥛 – 50ml
Mango 🥭 juice – 80ml
Blue Pea Flower Water – 30ml
Lemon 🍋 juice – 15ml
Ice 🧊- 1 cup
Garnish:
Fresh Blueberries 🇺🇲💙🫐- 5 to 6 pcs
Mint leaves 🍃- As needed
How to❓⁉️

Taiping aka rain town receives high ⬆️ volume of rainfall 🌧️ per year compares to other states of Malaysia 🇲🇾 with an average annual rainfall about 4,000mm. So, whenever travel to Taiping, do get ready with you an umbrella ☂️🌂 or raincoat 🧥 to avoid getting wet in rain 🌧️

All local fruit lovers, especially durian lover like SiennyLovesDrawing 👩🏻 must drop by this 9️⃣ acres organic fruit orchard in Kuala Kangsar of Perak state, Malaysia 🇲🇾
Not just durians, also jackfruits, rambutan, mangosteen, passion fruit, banana 🍌 & etc. subjects to respective harvesting season here. Not forgetting the honey 🍯 from stingless bee 🐝 (aka Lebah Kelulut) & wild bee (aka Lebah Tualang), according to Tuan Haji Idrus, it’s rare to harvest for wild bee honey 🍯 reason being the beehive is normally up at tall trees, hence it’s slightly expensive
SiennyLovesDrawing was with happy satisfied tummy of 3️⃣ different local river fish dishes (Oppsss…She forgot the river fish names, except her favourite Ikan Patin only, lol 🤭😆 ) for lunch 👩🏻😋💯🍽️🐟 & fruits feast as dessert here, in fact she was just can’t wait & enjoyed her favourite durian before & in between her lunch here, yum max 👍🏻
Ohh ya…Whenever you’re here during the durian season, not to miss to enjoy a river fish dish which cooking with the blended fresh durian flesh sauce named Tempoyak Ikan Patin, a must have local dish here 😋💯
Hmm…The road is quite narrow & quite deep into a village space to reach this fruit orchard, so highly recommended you to contact the person in charge in advance about your estimate time of arrival & a meeting point so they can lead you the way to it ya 😉
Had a privilege to chit chat with Tuan Haji Idrus 👩🏻🗣️👴🏽, he told that he started fruit orchard since 1992 with aim that whoever who visit it & whenever wanna eat fruit, all fruits are available ~ “Nak makan semua buah ada” ~
He 👴🏽 further shared that his signature durian from his orchard is ~ DHI Gold ~ It wasn’t in harvesting season during her visit, so SiennyLovesDrawing done ✅ checked out his TikTok & YouTube for it
He loves agriculture & oil palm 🌴 plantation as his main income before & now when he owns fruit orchards which more to his planting hobby. There are many local visitors as well as foreign visitors from Singapore 🇸🇬 , Brunei 🇧🇳 & Indonesia 🇮🇩
His fruit harvesting peak season generally from Oct to Dec, while slightly lesser from May to July. There are other of his fruit orchards which will send the harvested fruits to this orchard for its on going fruits buffet & feast that available from RM25 to RM45 subjects to market price. Visitors may opt to choose, weight, pay & enjoy the fruits too
Tuan Haji Idrus 👴🏽 has shared that it’s normal to have 1️⃣ or 2️⃣ durian trees died from infection, cancer, insect bites etc. in his orchard every year

All sure enjoy a slow walk 🚶🏻♀️ or jogging 🏃🏻♀️ every morning here
This time, when she was enjoyed her slow walk, she managed to listen to elephant 🐘 sound from the Taiping zoo behind it for the 1️⃣st time. She was curious 🤔🤨 about the loud sound heard & look around, however clueless until she said hi to a girl who jogged & asked
She noted some of the old rain trees that being supported with steel now, hope the authority will start planning to replant 🆕 rain trees so this beautiful rain trees over the lake will retain for future generations then
She also noted that the rain trees actually blossoms & a unique plant named sala plant / canon ball from the other joggers when she chitchatting with from her slow walk. You will be amazed 🤩 with the many ATV adventure packages here, including Mini Fun Ride, Fun Ride, Ride with Guide, Off-road & Off-road to River etc.
There is only a long ATV trail available ✅ & estimate time of approximately 1.5 to 2 hours to explore the foothills of Maxwell Hill ⛰️ ATV riders need to be above 16 years old & all ATV riders are required to sign ✍🏻 an indemnity form prior the ATV ride

After World War I, the Malay States Guides, the standing army of the Federated Malay States was dissolved & one battalion of the Burma Rifle Regiment was deployed to reinforce the garrison in Taiping as replacements for the Malay States Guides. Sometime in the 1920s, the soldiers from the Burma Rifles discovered the watershed area that later came to be known as the Burmese Pool. The pool was used by the soldiers for leisure & recreational activities
It’s with 50m beach area at this dataran, the whole 8km Tanjung Piandang unblock beach is well known for its clean beach & beautiful sunset that attract many photographers as per the local sharing 🌅

It used to be a piece of wide spacious rice paddy field 🌾 however sink into the sea due to the 2004 tsunami impact here. Then, it becomes with beach area now, sadly there were 4 locals who died from this incident
There were a few versions of legend stories & one of it mentioned that an orphanage revenge to his uncle that didn’t share the harvest from the said rice paddy field, so a punishment
While from the science perspective, it’s due to the wave erosion over the years 🌊 In this connection, the rocks surrounding the Tanjung Piandang beach area as observed are built with aims to prevent further damages from the strong waves 🌊 moving forward. Hence, it’s also known by the locals here as Pantai Roboh or Pantai Rock

It’s actually a 💯% man made with specific skills to farm the softshell crab from mud crab (aka ketam nipah) in Malaysia 🇲🇾 Yes ✅, it requires high skills set according to the founder of JS Muara Restoran Terapong Kuala Gula & Kelong, so that this whole farming process actually not hurting the crabs 🦀, hmm…🤔💭💬
SiennyLovesDrawing 👩🏻 understands briefly that it requires to remove the crawls & 6 legs of the crab 🦀 with skills. Then, the crab will regrow its shell & legs during its molting process, it will change its shell eventually within approximately 4 weeks. It forms a softshell from its regrow process
Visitors can enjoy visiting this softshell crabs farm & then enjoy the deep fried softshell crabs served here with beautiful dining view as this restaurant is floating on the river. Ohh ya… It’s Muslim friendly as owned & founded by a Muslim lady, Cik Anis, she is now in midst to receive her halal certification as it’s currently in verification progress from her application submitted
She was told that 5️⃣ tons of mangrove woods will be burnt for 35 days in the igloo shape kiln. After burnt 🔥 process completed, the wood 🪵 will be kept in the kiln for at least 15 days before cutting them for exporting to the foreign countries

Since 2009, ITC has taken steps to meet the Muslim tourist market needs in Malaysia 🇲🇾 through up skilling programmes such as the Muslim-Friendly Tourist Guide (MFTG) training programme since 2017 under the Continuous Tourism Related Education (CTRE). It aims to equip & enhance all tourist guides licensed by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts & Culture Malaysia (MOTAC) with an introduction to Islamic Tourism & the Muslim tourist market, as well as the necessary skills, including communication skills & crisis management training such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), so they can develop well within the Islamic Tourism space with the better understanding of the Muslims tourists’ faith based requirements
All these efforts aim to ensure that Malaysia continues to deliver the concept of Muslim-Friendly Tourism & Hospitality (MFTH) to all Muslim tourists
At present, a total of 131 licensed tour guides under MOTAC have undergone the MFTG training & been certified as MFTG in Malaysia 🇲🇾☪️✅👍🏻

Nasyrul Quran Complex
All gathered to attend an introductory briefing & an exclusive tour of Nasyrul Quran Complex in Putrajaya, the 2️⃣nd largest al-Quran printing & production facility in the world 🌎 Yayasan Restu has received 60 million funding from government to build & construct this building
This NGO with aims to spread al-Quran across the globe 🌍 & any proceeds received will be donated to the communities in need. It’s with the printing of al-Quran in different languages here
Yes✅, after the world 🌎 largest al-Quran production centre ie. King Fahd Complex in Madinah, Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦
This 2️⃣nd visit, she has learnt that Mushaf meant that all by hands eg. Drawing, calligraphy, colouring etc. of the al-Quran production process. The calligraphy staff here are well trained by the India 🇮🇳 & Pakistan 🇵🇰 calligraphers. There are 25 original Mushaf being collected & stored in gallery to-date as the references since its establishment with different languages translations. On average, approximately 15K copy of al-Quran printing produced here daily

The usage of natural ink/ dye from plants for calligraphy. Green 💚 is a sacred colour & meant for heaven in Islam ☪️, while red colour ❤️ symbolizes the life force. Both are important colours for Muslims. The natural ink is added in with palm oil 🌴 so the calligraphy done will stay longer
All motif for al-Quran are unique to the geography, culture of the respective countries

Then, the participants were invited to share some opinion/ feedback about this programme. It’s just less than 45mins ferry ⛴️ ride from the 6️⃣th jetty (The jetty is labelled with Labon Island, immediately next to Kepri Island jetty) from the beautiful Batam Barelang bridge 🌉
There are many houses on stilts which some are actually with anchovies farms. On Benan island is a school 🏫🎒 that caters to students from various islands around the area who commute here by boat daily to attend classes. There even is a small marine army office here too 👍🏻
