Yeah‼️ SiennyLovesDrawing 👩🏻 would like to encourage all to “Let’s be plastic 🆓 & instead zero 0️⃣ plastic whenever we are travelling around”, whether you’re the travellers or the tourism players across the globe 🌎
She has read 📖 about the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) has recently announced about the launch of a 🆕 online resource for increasing ⬆️ the sustainability of the tourism sector. This course named “Targeting Zero 0️⃣ Plastics in Tourism Businesses – with UNESCO, PATA & Expedia Group” is recently launched in conjunction with PATA Destination Marketing Forum 2022 (PDMF) which held in Songkhla, Thailand 🇹🇭 from 2 to 4 Aug recently. SiennyLovesDrawing 👩🏻 has registered it, however due to work commitment, she was unable to attend it personally 😔
In March 2022, PATA actually already started a collaboration 🤝🏻 with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) with the goal of advising tourism & hospitality businesses on plastic waste reduction⬇️ To achieve this, PATA has developed this online course 👩🏻💻👨🏻💻🧑🏻💻 to provide step-wise guidance on minimising the sourcing & consumption of single-use plastics as well as the importance for organisations to sign ✍🏻 the UNESCO Sustainable Travel Pledge
The Pledge, which is a collaboration 🤝🏻 between UNESCO & Expedia Group, is open & applicable to all tourism businesses, regardless of their size or location. By signing ✍🏻 the Pledge, they will be joining a network 🌐 of leading tourism & hospitality businesses that are helping their destinations in the development of sustainable tourism. “The Sustainable Travel Pledge is particularly timely as we work to build a 🆕 kind of tourism in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, by inviting local tourism stakeholders to commit to inclusive & sustainable measures”, said Ernesto Ottone R., UNESCO Assistant Director-General for Culture 👨🏼💼
“The pandemic caused hardship in tourism destinations worldwide 🌎, but also led to severe setbacks in our fight against plastic waste”, said PATA CEO Liz Ortiguera. “Now is the time to take action & strive for a more sustainable tourism & hospitality industry. We’re proud to make this contribution to plastic waste reduction ⬇️ efforts.”
The amount of plastics we currently produce, consume and dispose of is unsustainable, and tourism activities and hospitality businesses do contribute largely to this issue. In the Mediterranean, for example, marine litter increases up to 40% during tourist peak season (One Planet, 2021) & this poses a threat to tourism destinations themselves
As put by Ang Choo Pin, Managing Director Asia, Expedia Group, “It is essential for hotels, restaurants, tour operators & all other tourism businesses to reduce ⬇️ the amount of plastics they generate & dispose of the unavoidable plastics responsibly if they wish to protect the very assets they rely on to attract customers”
Reducing ⬇️ single-use plastics in tourism & hospitality businesses provides not only an opportunity to protect the destination’s ecosystems but also to support the local community & economy, as it is advocated throughout the online course 🧑🏻💻👨🏻💻👩🏻💻 This is because sourcing local products & using local resources & services in tourism offerings & activities reduces reliance on international supply chains as well as economic leakages. Moreover, local artisanal products are more likely to be made of natural, renewable materials than mass-produced ones
— UNESCO 🏛️ #Education #Sciences #Culture 🇺🇳😷 (@UNESCO) August 1, 2022
“The course developed by PATA is an incredible resource for businesses to understand the relationships between communities, culture & environmental protection through plastic waste reduction”, says Dr. Hanh Duong Bich, Program Specialist and Chief of Culture Unit at UNESCO Office in Bangkok. “It gives great guidance and examples on how businesses can help fight plastic waste & at the same time promote local heritage & strengthen local supply chains.” 👍🏻
The course “Targeting Zero Plastics in Tourism Businesses – with UNESCO, PATA & Expedia Group” is open-sourced & available ✅ to all
The self-paced course is available open-sourced in 2️⃣ languages, English & Thai. It covers the following topics;
What is the UNESCO Sustainable Travel Pledge ❓⁉️
What is the necessary process to implement a plastic waste reduction strategy ❓⁉️
What are the concrete measures needed to reduce single-use plastics in my business❓⁉️
How can local knowledge & products help fight plastic waste ❓⁉️
How can I continue my journey towards plastic waste reduction ❓⁉️
Participants can receive an e-certificate 📜 if they achieve the minimum required score ie. 80% in the final quiz. Yeah‼️ SiennyLovesDrawing 👩🏻 has just completed & received her e-certificate 📜, then sharing here for all to also attending this useful informative online course 💪🏻🙌🏻👍🏻

■Title Resonating Microcosms: Liquified Light Color, Sunrise & Sunset 🌇🌆 The Rooftop Garden, which features countless ovoids, is an art space that transforms through changes in the natural environment & the presence of people. Under the sun 🔆😎, the ovoids reflect the world around them. As the sun sets, the ovoids begin to shine by themselves. When an ovoid is pushed by a person, blown by the wind 🌬️🍃, or hit by rain 🌧️☔, it shines brightly & emits a sound tone as it rises back up on its own. The ovoids around it also respond one after another, resonating out the same sound tone & light color. The surrounding Resonating Trees also respond & change continuously teamLab is experimenting with the concept of color 😍🤩
The ovoids can change into atotal of 57 newly-defined Liquified Light Colors The space of the work is interactively transformed under the influence of the wind, rain & the behavior of the people in the space, making the environment & the people a part of the work. Amazing unique art‼️👍🏻
■Title of the work: Resonating Trees The trees shine brightly. The light of each tree is autonomous, slowly blinking The light transmitted from “Resonating Microcosms – Liquified Light Color, Sunrise & Sunset” causes the trees 🌳🌳’ lights to change color & a tone specific to that color resonates out The light of a tree is transmitted to the surrounding trees 🌳🌳 one by one, as the sound is continuously emitted. When a light resonates from the trees 🌳🌳 in the distance, it signifies the presence of people. Perhaps people will become more aware of the existence of others in the same space

Hey all, SiennyLovesDrawing would like to share some online shopping insights recently read from the Shopee data. Hmm…Personally she is agreeing as she did shopping more on Boho style from the recent fashion trends observed 😀
How about you❓⁉️ Do you share the similar fashion shopping preference too ❓⁉️
21% increase ⬆️ in Boho inspired clothings up to June this year with later trend shifting towards fall/holiday 2022 inspired jackets, skirts & pants on Shopee
Malaysians’ fashion purchase driven by the need to switch from casual to office wear post-pandemic❓⁉️ , hmm….From SiennyLovesDrawing’s reading, Shopee ’s fashion purchase insight tells another story
The trend shows that colourful Boho appeal which came back in Spring/Summer 2021 made it through Fall/Holiday 2021 & Spring/Summer 2022 on Shopee. However, it may be phasing out soon to make way for fall/holiday 2022 colour blocking
Shopee ’s data revealed that Malaysians were buying 21% more Boho influenced clothing between 1 June 2021 to 30 June 2022. The trend, according to Shopee, gradually took over the more practical leisure wear clothing starting from the 1st half of 2021 when sales for leisure wear wear tapered off by 10.2% compared to the same period the year before
This was the beginning point for colourful outer wears, peasant blouses, flowy maxi dresses & skirts, loose & lightweight button-down shirts with retro patterns, denims & slacks. The height of this trend, according to Shopee users’ purchase insight came in the 1st quarter of this year when Malaysians were fulfilling their suppressed travel & leisure appetite with vacations, hang outs at cafes, shopping malls & more
The total number of purchases for boho themed chino pants increased ⬆️ by 114%, dresses 55% skirts & 41% compared to the same period last year. Conversely, searches for lounge & sleepwear continue to drop ⬇️
With boho inspired style reaching its optimum point, Shopee Malaysia users’ purchase trend, in alignment with the global fashion trend, started to show a shift towards colour blocking. Between March & May this year, as global fashion labels started to give consumers a glimpse into their upcoming fall/holiday 2022 collection which mainly consist of faux leather jackets, tank tops & mason pants, we see users starting to prepare their wardrobes to be on trend for the next half of the year
Neutral, ivory & peachy beige colour palettes were gradually replacing the colourful boho-chic styles. This purchase pattern, according to Shopee ’s consumers’ insight, had its beginning in the 2nd quarter of this year. Between April & June this year, Shopee users were starting to purchase 13% more ⬆️ blazers & coats from the quarter before & this upward trend is expected to stay until the end of fall/holiday season 2022
With the rise ⬆️ in demand for blazers & coats, Shopee also saw a 35% increase in sales for undershirts between the 1st quarter & 2nd quarter this year. Consequently, demand for trousers with fitted waists & wide hems also saw a 10% increase ⬆️ With the gradual transition between fashion trends, Malaysians are also seen to be buying 🆕 footwear to match
Malaysians are seen purchasing sandals & mules to match their Boho influenced outfit while loafers, high & low tops, stilettos & oxfords were purchased to gear themselves up to head back to their offices after a long hiatus. As such, these items saw an increase ⬆️ in demand & are replacing flip flops this year compared to last year
According to Shopee, the buying behaviour observed is a sign that Malaysian online fashion shoppers are beginning to enjoy dressing on trend again. With Malaysia 🇲🇾 in the endemic phase, Malaysians are also bracing themselves for the cooler days ahead in their air conditioned offices after fulfilling their suppressed appetite for leisure & travel

Yeah‼️ SiennyLovesDrawing 👩🏻 continues to #cuticutimalaysia , in this blog post, she will share her own personal travel experiences & observations about covid19 🆕 norm travel procedures, peoples, places & the food she enjoys during this Hulu Selangor trip ya 😃😁
This trip was well organised by Lion Sight Travel & Tours Sdn Bhd & being supported by Tourism Selangor & Malaysian Inbound Tourism Association (MITA)
She would like to also share here her heritage historical trip itinerary this round @ Hulu Selangor & it’s covered for Serendah, Kuala Kubu Bharu (KKB) & Ulu Yam
It was a raining day 🌧️☔ with sharp departure from Matic KL to Serendah @ 7.40am, the name Serendah in Malaysia’s national language ~ Bahasa Malaysia reflects that this area is located at a low level
Went straight to Macau street, Serendah for breakfast. This is the only Macao street that remains now from the total 5️⃣ Macao streets in the world 🌎 ie. Kuala Lumpur, Serendah, Malacca, Penang & Singapore. This street will be a food street of Serendah in the future as shared by Mr Andy Pah during lunch of that day
Highly recommended the tea egg dessert served at Kedai Kopi Yee Kee. The egg well boiled in sweet tea soup, yum yum 😋👍🏻 SiennyLovesDrawing & her friend were lucky to enjoy this well known dessert @ 9am. It normally ready to serve around 10am. She loves this hot dessert as tasted it for the 1st time. A must try ya 😀 They were sharing a table with a retired couple, had a good chat with them, a happy breakfast
Then, visited the Hock Leng Keng Temple 双文丹福靈宫 which founded in 1869. It’s a 150 years old Taoism temple with a museum to visit to learn the history of this temple & Serendah. It used to be a medical temple for the village residents, especially kids here. SiennyLovesDrawing got impressed by how well this temple is being maintained till now
Met officials, Mr Andy Pah from Balairaya Serendah & Mr Lee, the acting president of Hokkien Association. Listened to their explanation about this old temple history, as well as Serendah history
Then, group photos & enjoyed hosting tasty yummy lunch & chit chat together with the Hokkien Association members @ Restaurant 218
During the lunch, Mr Andy Pah informed that the Temple Street of Serendah actually with 7️⃣ temples & some with over 100 years. That’s really full of historical values. He also shared about the ongoing efforts of developing Serendah as a lifestyle tourism destination. It will be developing as a tourist park so each visitor here can spend at least 2 hours
Next @ llmio Cafe 古毛人茶餐室 to meet ADUN KKB Madam Lee Kee Hiong & cafe owner, Ms Shu Xuan
Once stepped in, personally she loves the dining & tea time vibes in this cafe, especially love the antiques collections exhibited here
The cafe founder actually studied in Taiwan & decided to be back to her hometown & started this cafe & also a homestay 欢喜居 ☕🏘️
Enjoyed a juicy story telling session about KKB from Ms Shu Xuan & started the heritage walk with her. SiennyLovesDrawing also personally suggested to her to inform the relevant authorized person of Galeri Sejarah KKB to consider adding all the gallery info exhibited in English so foreign visitors will have a chance to read & understand the KKB history from this gallery. Many foreign travellers love to visit the museum of a local place on a travel journey, so it’s important for this gallery to add in the English version of all exhibited information
Oldest temple in KKB ~ Guan Yin Gu See Temple 观音古寺. Since 1904 & with the donation collected here, they built the Kek Lok Si temple in Penang. It was called as tortoise temple earlier, there is a pond at the temple with lots of tortoises 🐢🐢 in it
Guess what ❓⁉️
This temple was safe & not affected by any KKB floods, that’s so magical to be believed by the KKB residents here
Ohh ya…Not far from this temple, there is a Tokong Kuan Yik Kerk观音阁 which is the 1️⃣st temple in KKB that painted its staircases in rainbow 🌈 colours 🤩 This temple offers a good overview of whole KKB town
Last stop of this heritage tour @ Sungai Selangor Dam. It was completed in 2002 flooding the valley of Gerachi Jaya & Pertak off KKB & resettling the native indigenous communites that lived here to a 🆕 nearby village
It’s a picturesque dam, hence explained that it’s a popular stopover for photos & videos, also fishing activities. It welcomes its visitors to its recreational park to appreciate the picturesque view of the massive lake where a spillway drops water to control the dam’s level
You may visit the Splash Info Center which is located along its main road that offers a gallery & information about this dam project. It’s with 🆓 admission from Tue to Sun, 9am to 4pm
At the same row, you may check out the Ulu Yam Noodles Making Shop named Five Q Brothers Enterprise, this is the only factory based & open to the public to see how they make the noodles in Ulu Yam. The other 4 noodles producers are home based
The noodles here have superb elastic, you can just keep polling the noodles & it allows you to pull very very long. Amazing handmade skill lies behind the noodles dough 👍🏻
You may shop for their fresh making noodles from here. If it keeps in the fridge, it will last for 2 months. If in freezer, up to 2 months
She loves almost all the dishes served at lunch here, highly recommended the Tom Yam prawn in coconut, beer stout chicken wings, salted egg fried pumpkin & tofu
She really enjoyed the sweet tom yam with great 👍🏻 coconut fragrance of this prawn dish, absolutely tasty each sip of the soup while chewing on the fresh prawn 🦐😋👍🏻 If you’re not a spicy fan, this dish is not very spicy with the well blend of coconut sweetness
World of Phalaenopsis ~ Beautiful orchids farm visit & cafe. From the satisfied lunch, she didn’t dine in this cafe, instead she enjoys walking & exploring this place, got amazed with many beautiful blooming orchids plants in many different colours here
During her visit, she had a good chat with the orchids care worker & understood that the yellow orchids are precious one as not many, compared to those white & purple ones. It’s quite easy to take care the plants by spraying water few times a week
There are also lotus pond & ducklings pond. The kids can enjoy feeding the swimming ducklings with just RM1️⃣ for the feeding food packet
Last stop at Seven Wells for photos & heading back to KL, home sweet home 🏡 to conclude this 2️⃣D1️⃣N trip at Hulu Selangor, Malaysia 🇲🇾. It’s also known as Perigi Tujuh Serendah. It’s a popular tourist spot in Serendah & it was built to resist floods in Serendah. To SiennyLovesDrawing personally, this is an important heritage spot to visit to learn more about Serendah history & the advancement of technology at that time for flood preventing
However, during this visit, she is sad to see the rubbish & not well taken care of this place. Special thanks to 1 of her travelmate, Ms MC who have shared the before photo captured from her visit in Aug 2020 that the Seven Wells were all functioning with cleaner surrounding at that time
At present, there are 2 wells that no longer with water 💦 Sigh…She wishes the relevant authorities can actually take some appropriate action to well maintain this beautiful site as Malaysia is slowly resuming tourism activities at the moment. Also to have all Seven Wells all functioning well again as its purpose of preventing unpredictable flood in the future

Enjinis a blockchain tech company building products that make it easy for everyone to use next-generation NFTs. Since its founding in 2009, Enjin has been deeply involved with the gaming industry. It has launched a gaming community platform called the Enjin Network in 2019 & has grown it to more than 20 million users over the course of a decade, wow 😲👏🏻👍🏻
In 2017 following a successful ICO, Enjin established itself as a leading blockchain ecosystem developer, building a suite of user-1st blockchain products that enable anyone to easily manage, explore, distribute & integrate blockchain assets
Built on top of a robust on-chain infrastructure & comprised of the Enjin Platform, Explorer, Wallet, Beam & other tools and services, the Enjin ecosystem enables game industry businesses to increase revenue, gain a competitive edge & innovate in previously impossible ways
Forged in gaming, Enjin’s tools & services can also be used by companies of all sizes & industries seeking to create blockchain products or utilize tokenized digital assets as part of their acquisition, retention, engagement & monetization strategies
The Enjin ecosystem is fueled by Enjin Coin (ENJ), an Ethereum-based cryptocurrency used to directly back the value of Enjin-powered blockchain assets
So, Why HAPINFT Choose ENJIN❓⁉️
Enjin launched its Enjin Network back in 2009 as a gaming community platform that boasted a staggering 20 million users. Then, in 2017, they launched its ICO & Enjin continued championing gamers with Enjin Coin, a cryptocurrency for gaming. Since then, Enjin has done nothing but drive forward with the dream of acting as the foundation for blockchain gaming, solving peripheral problems as they go
The 1️⃣st reason Enjin is the front-runner is the sheer ease at which a game or app can be integrated into the ecosystem without forgoing any utility, MyMetaversecouldn’t exist if this wasn’t the case. What it meant by the Enjin ecosystem? The primary components are the SDKs, the website API & the minting panel. These 3️⃣ mean that games can utilize blockchain technology, including their own currencies & NFTs, effortlessly. In additions, the API & minting panels have been developed to be easily usable by anyone with working hands & without the need for code
The topic of minting is an important one too. Minting is the creation of items on the blockchain (as a multi-standard ERC-1155 token), which can be either cryptocurrencies or NFTs that can be sold or distributed wherever & however the creator sees fit. Enjin’s asset minting tool has a key feature that promotes a healthy economy for gamers & Enjin investors alike. The minting process requires Enjin Coin to be put into the item (which can be retrieved — in full or in part — by melting it back down) & this Enjin Coin is then taken out of circulation, increasing scarcity of the currency & thus potentially its value. By extension, this means minted NFTs or currencies have an irreducible value based upon Enjin Coin. NFTs are not going to be merely infinitely minted & endlessly abundant & so Free to Earn games have their allure increased further still
Whilst now on the topic of minted NFTs, the trading & selling of NFTs are supported brilliantly in 2️⃣ ways: Enjin’s marketplace & its wallet. Let’s start with its marketplace 1st. EnjinX.io, Enjin’s marketplace, is an already bustling bazaar of NFTs, with 1️⃣ of the crowning jewels of blockchain gaming ~ Lost Relics ~ Boasting a monthly volume of 114K ENJ. The marketplace is a slick, well-designed & easy-to-use platform which is wholly necessary for a revolution in gaming where digital ownership of items is central
The 2️⃣nd strength of Enjin for blockchain gaming is the wallet. Enjin’s wallet is hands-down the best mobile wallet around. It’s secure, can store multiple cryptocurrencies as well as NFTs & has DApp browsing integration. To finding, buying & trading NFTs, all need the wallet to store them. Furthermore, prices & sales information for NFTs is shown within the wallet & interacts with the Enjin Marketplace
Enjin’s vision is clear ie. To build a holistic solution to the future of gaming by laying the foundations for blockchain’s role in the industry’s next major transformation. That currency you murdered & pillaged for in-game, that item that finally dropped after countless attempts, that character you customized & progressed with hundreds of hours of your time, they will all be yours. Not lent to you by a gaming publisher casting their watchful eye over you from their citadel, yours. Gaming is about to establish permanence by provenance & it’s Enjin leading the charge in facilitating it. Enjin is changing the game
SiennyLovesDrawing 👩🏻 will continue exploring & learning more about NFTs, then sharing more here again then 😃
