Jugra Insitu Museum

It’s a prison museum

It’s located at the foot of Jugra Hill. It is the 1️⃣st police 👮‍♂️ station in Selangor before it was moved to Bukit Aman

It also housed a prison. The building was found ruined so badly, however it’s now restored carefully to resemble the original building

We met up at Fan Yoon Restaurant, USJ7 for breakfast. Have ordered dry pan mee & 2️⃣ Char Siew Paus to share as on foodies trip, so to save tummy space for next makan 😆🤣

Absolutely recommended the dry pan mee here, it’s tasty & with big portions. Also the tasty yummy Char Siew Pau serving here, a must try 😋👍🏻

The foods here still very tempting delicious 😋🤤 with fresh crab 🦀 & lala, really a happy eats here

Menu ordered were hot spicy crab 🦀 with fried buns, fried prawn balls, vegetables & lala soup

Ohh ya…Must order the fried prawn 🦐 balls as recommended by the restaurant owner, it’s freshly made with prawns on the spot, not ready made & kept in freezer. It’s tangy addictive to enjoy a ball after another ball, really tasty 😋👍🏻

It was a hot sunny ☀️😎 day, so after the museum visit, all agreed to enjoy some cold drinks. Kyoko found a nearby cendol place named PD Famous Cendol Coconut Shake Power. Hurray‼️

Hmm…The cendol & coconut shake here are not so good as it claimed. Phil prefers the Nyonya Cendol in Summit USJ while SiennyLovesDrawing prefers the Klebang coconut shake frankly

The Loh Mee serves here is tasty delicious & her Japanese friend, Kyoko actually enjoyed without adding in black vinegar, the normal way of enjoying this noodles 🍜

Hmm…Just a personal tasting preference, the black vinegar serves here not as good as what SiennyLovesDrawing home cooking brand that she recently shopping online from Singapore, you may check it out if you love black vinegar too

Ohh ya…Apart from Loh Mee, do order to enjoy the juicy fried chicken wings served here, it’s really addictive tasty 😋 to enjoy

Yeah‼️ Enjoyed #sightseeing around #Songkhla , Thailand 🇹🇭 with “Rod-song-thaew” aka #Songthaew #สองแถว is a #trucktaxi 🚖 with 2️⃣ bench seats in the back, 1️⃣ on either side, hence its name which means “2️⃣ rows” in Thai. It’s occasionally called “minibuses” by the tourists, a pick-up truck with a roof & open sides. It can fit between 8️⃣to 🔟pax adults inside. A Songthaew has ❌ seat belts & any other safety equipment on board. It’s a street walk/ night market 🌃🌌🚶🏻‍♀️🛒🛍️ located along Chana Road, near the ancient Songkhla City Wall. It only operating on weekends ie. Fri, Sat & Sun evening from 5️⃣pm to 🔟pm

It’s actually quite similar to night markets in Malaysia 🇲🇾 with food stalls, lifestyle goods stalls, pet stall, live band performances etc.

Surprisingly during SiennyLovesDrawing’s recent visit, some stalls were not open & not very crowded too, perhaps due to the long weekends of Labour Day public holiday. She has bought a nice hand knitted crop sleeveless top from here 🎽😍

SiennyLovesDrawing 👩🏻💕 💯 has enjoyed the vibrant hipster vibes during her recent visit here at the Hatyai Sidewalk #8️⃣ which ended on 30 Apr 2023, of course lots of Thai locals especially the youngsters here. It offers a totally 🆕 experiences on Thai foods, fashions, music, live bands, open space movie, arts workshops, art galleries & exhibitions etc. 🎵🎶🧑🏻‍🎤🥁🎙️📽️🖼️

You will be amazed with the energy of friendly fun, freedom, being young is great & just so much more other than the usual hot sweating while walking in night markets, yeah‼️😃😁

It’s a nice space to gather & chill, eat, drink & shop here as it’s on the streets with restaurants & popular nightlife spots 👥👥🍡🍢🧋🥤🍽️

It’s 1️⃣ of the night markets you must visit in Hatyai, Thailand 🇹🇭

Of course many Thai local street foods 🇹🇭😋, must try the Thai kerabu maggi, Tom Yum 🥘, mango/ durian sticky rice, Iced thai tea as well as to grab some cheap local snacks eg. nuts & many more

Hmm… SiennyLovesDrawing 👩🏻 was amazed when there was a stall with 2️⃣ giant snakes 🐍🐍 & chameleon that offer visitors to hold , pose for photos 📸 with any of them, pay fee by donation. Many people were interested, but but not for me…lol 😂

It’s a local market famous to shopping 🛒🛍️ for local snacks & imported snacks from Malaysia 🇲🇾 & Singapore 🇸🇬 which are cheaper here ⬇️💲🏷️ Both local Thai & foreign visitors can buy fresh fruits to vegetables, snacks, a wide variety of nuts (Many come here to grab Thai cashew nuts), food items, dried raw ingredients (dried chili, dried shrimps, spices, etc) to cooked local delicacies, fresh flowers to edible flowers etc.

It’s crowded with people, Tuk-tuks, vans, bikes, people just squeezing their way into & out of this market. Due to its narrow space, hence hard to use baby strollers here

Foods sold here are cheap, however subjects to your bargaining skills 🗣️👥 Of course, if sellers know you’re a tourist, these Thai locals will tend to charge you higher prices 😉

It opens daily from 6️⃣am to 6️⃣pm daily & on Supasarnrangsan Road which within short walking 🚶‍♀️distance to Lee Gardens Plaza 🏬

The Tokey Sambal Hitam factory produces 80 kg of sambal hitam daily & employs 6 skilled & semi-skilled members of the local community to perform daily tasks, from raw ingredient processing to product marketing. According to Khairil 🧍🏽‍♂️, the business set-up was much leaner when he 1️⃣st started in 2009. The business currently needs up to 300kg of the sour fruit
