Yes ✅, this is the 5️⃣th festival to celebrate the pineapple harvesting season with the local community here. This annual festival started since year 2019
Hmm…It’s SiennyLovesDrawing’s 1️⃣st time here, she got warmly welcomed by the local community & being touched 💯 by the impressive pleasant festive vibes 💖 She wanna joins again next year & years after 😁
Ohh ya…As you all seen on the back of her festival T-shirt 👕 wore, there was printed with the registered festival official logo “FBN” ~ It means Festival Bunga Nanas with the hands 🙌🏻 🍍 holding pineapple 🍍 flowers representing blessed & gratefulness of harvesting season 🙏🏻😇

From SiennyLovesDrawing’s 1️⃣st participation, it was really exciting fun to visit & explore the wide pineapple flowers & pineapples plantation of 🔟K hectares. Absolutely worth a superb early wake up to gather & ride with 4️⃣ wheel drive, old school bus 🚌 or lorry 🚛 etc. to reach here & then slowly walking 🚶🏻♀️ down this mesmerizing pineapples maze 🤩🍍
Highly recommended 💯👍🏻 this eye-opening experience of visiting the pineapples plantation to learn more from growing until harvesting the pineapples 🍍🍍 She is gonna bring along her little niece 👩🏻👧🏻 to participate next year as she believes this FBN is rich with educational values for the younger generations
Tips📌 : From her recent visiting experience, it’s not advisable to wear short pants 🩳 to avoid getting hurt by the sharp teeth pineapple 🍍 leaves & must bring mosquitoes repellent ❌🦟 to avoid getting mosquitoes attack while waiting for sunrise 🌄 in the dark ya
The harvest appreciation ceremony 🙏🏻🍍 was held at 6 o’clock in the morning of 28 Jan 2024, yes ✅, when the sun 🌞 rises up
Guess what❓⁉️
SiennyLovesDrawing & her media friends 👫🏽👭🏻👬👫 actually woke up at 4am that morning to depart from hotel & then gather at Mumu Farm 新邦黄梨园 to ride with other participants in either the 4️⃣ wheel drive, old school bus 🚌 or lorry 🚛 etc. to reach the plantation
Although she slept 🛌 only an hour because busy chit chatting with her roommate 😂😆, she was like a blur panda 🐼 that morning, hahaha 🤪🤣
She had a great 👍🏻 time, absolutely worth it especially the moment from dark to bright with sun rising 🌞🌄
Before the worship ceremony began, Duo Space Dance Theatre 共享空间专业舞团, a team of professional modern dance troupe from Kuala Lumpur has performed 2️⃣amazing opening dance 💃🏻🕺🏻 performances namely Wind “《风》” & City vs Rural “《城市•乡土》”. When the sun rose 🌄, the Kluang Chung Hwa Secondary School took over the stage & led the 24 Festive Drums 🥁 performance 二十四节令鼓 The festival ceremony continued with 2️⃣ students from Kluang Chung Hwa Secondary School 居銮中华中学 recited a poem & followed by an opening & welcome speech by YB Chew Chong Sin 周忠信 👨🏻💼 to kick off this annual FBN ceremony
YB Chew Chong Sin 周忠信 👨🏻💼 shared that through the processing & packaging with modern technology, pineapple 🍍 flowers can improve ⬆️ productivity & production value in order to increase ⬆️ economic income. He hopes that through the pineapple flower festival, it will attract farmers 👩🏻🌾👨🏻🌾, also introduce government policy & supports to bring greater 👍🏻 & comprehensive agricultural benefits to developing this agriculture industry. He expressed his belief that through 5️⃣ years of efforts & hard works, this FBN has gained as a high-profile local annual festival that combines agriculture, food processing & agricultural tourism in Malaysia 🇲🇾
FBN also injects elements of special agricultural tourism, relying on the resources of Malaysia’s 🇲🇾 agricultural land to enhance economic value, connect ↔️ industry players & create economic opportunities for local communities. He also elaborated that the pineapple 🍍 industry can leverage its transformation to develop agricultural food processing & agricultural tourism to ensure food security & stable production 💯
There were more than 120 participants 🧑🏻🤝🧑🏻👭🏻👬🏼👫🏻 (An increased no. from previous years) holding high the pineapple flowers in their hands 🍍✋🏻 during sunrise 🌄 & worshipped together towards the 4️⃣ directions of South, East, North & West to praying for a peaceful & prosperity for this 🆕 year 2024 ㊗️🈴🈵🧧🏮
All shouted loudly “Heng 兴, Ong 旺 ， Huat 发 ah”
Pineapple 🍍 (Ananas comosus) is a tropical plant with an edible fruit, it’s the most economically significant plant in the family Bromeliaceae. This exotic fruit 🍍actually comes from a flowering plant, it grows from the leafy tops of it ie. The ornamental pineapple aka pineapple flower 黄梨花 (Ananas comosus Champaca)
SiennyLovesDrawing 👩🏻 was told by some of the farmers 👨🏻🌾👩🏻🌾 at the festival that by simply cutting the crown off the top of each pineapple 🍍 & placing it in soil to grow more pineapples. Seriously & it doesn’t require for much care, wow 🤩 That’s really easy as once planted the crown of the pineapple 🍍, it forms roots & begins to grow 🆕 & leafy green foliage. The 🆕 plant will then start to flower small florets which will form in the middle of the foliage & rise. At 1️⃣st, the florets have red ♥️ & pink 💗 tones before finally turning yellow 💛 once ripe. Ohh ya…Once plucked, pineapples will immediately stop its ripe progress ya ☺️
SiennyLovesDrawing 👩🏻 has learnt that it takes approximately 18 to 24 months to grow & harvest pineapple flowers during this media trip to Simpang Renggam, Kluang, Johor ie. The largest pineapple 🍍 growing area in Malaysia 🇲🇾 This also the pioneer startup place since 1931 of the late Mr. Lee Kong Chian & his family ie. Lee Pineapple
This pineapple plantation area is developing into its leisure tourism with pineapple theme, so local & foreign tourists here can enjoy watching the sunrise 🌅, sunset 🌄, starry night 🌃🌌🌠 or a full moon 🌕 🌝

Pineapple flowers 🍍 are particularly important for Hokkien community to worship God on the 9️⃣th day of the Lunar New Year ㊗️🈴🈵 🧧🏮 So, have you grab one 🍍 for this upcoming Lunar CNY❓⁉️ In order to welcome the 🆕 Year of Dragon 2024 🐉🐲 & pray for good harvests, the local community here have begun to prepare pineapple flowers for gods worship as it’s beautifully blossom & full of meaning ie. To welcome prosperity “Ong Lai 旺来”, although the fruit of the pineapple 🍍 flowers cannot be eaten
The pineapple flowers farmers 🍍👩🏻🌾👨🏻🌾 have improved their planting techniques, so the varieties are becoming more & more diverse. The size of the pineapple flowers’ stems are also different. The shape of the bulbs, the size & shape of the flowers are different, rarely to have 2️⃣ pineapple flowers that look the same ya 🤩 SiennyLovesDrawing has learnt the 2️⃣ types of pineapple flowers from this FBN participation ie. “Gula Batu” & 水红黄梨花 “Pink Red” ~ Hmm …This is SiennyLovesDrawing’s own translation from its Mandarin name & its physical appearance
Every year the sales of pineapple flowers will increase ⬆️ with a steady stream of orders to cope with the Lunar CNY 农历新年, Tiangong Festival 天公誕 & Lantern Festival. People believe that pineapple 🍍 flowers will bring auspicious omens, sweep away bad luck & ushering good luck 🧧🈵 for a 🆕 year. It’s a must-have on the table as an indispensable offering for gods worship
