Hmm…The only unfavourable point is it does bleed through the paper, just that not too heavily obvious. The ink bleeds sometimes & shows through the back of the paper. She is not really a fan of the pen’s body, they’re too bulky to fit in a standard pencil case & also her small hands to hold & using it

Creative Ways To Use Lipstick ~ National Lipstick Day

Do you know that the annual National Lipstick 💄👄💋 Day falls on 29 July ❓⁉️☺️

Lipstick 💄 is 1️⃣ of the most used & loved makeup item by most females across the globe 🌎

It’s available ✅ in many different lip colours, shades, textures & formulas

Lipstick 💄 is more than just to apply on lips 👄 lol 😆 Yes ✅, SiennyLovesDrawing is gonna sharing here the other uses of lipstick 💄

In fact, she loves to collect different lip colours & shades as her 1️⃣ simple makeup must have while travelling & on the go 😃 Yes ✅, a simple monochrome look on the go

Colour corrector 

The lipstick with red ❤️ or orange 🧡 lip colours is good to be used to correct dark under-eye circles or hyperpigmentation marks on skin

These 2️⃣ lip colours can counteract the dark circles & spots

How to❓⁉️

Just apply a small amount of either of these 2️⃣ lip colours on the under-eye area or on any dark pigmentation, then lightly tap in with your fingers or a beauty sponge to even & blend well. Next, to apply the liquid foundation & concealer on top to complete the coverage

Eyeliner

The liquid/ long-lasting lipsticks can be used as a 🆕 eyeliner

How to❓⁉️

Just rub a clean angled brush along its wand & then a brand-new liquid eyeliner. It does not smudge or fade easily from the lipstick formula, so a great 👍🏻 way to save cost while enjoying fun with lip/ eyeliner colours

Eyeshadow

Do use the bullet lipstick as creamy eyeshadows. Using lipstick as eyeshadow is a quick way to glam up your eyes 👀 👁️ 👁️ effortlessly

You can also opt for glossy lipstick for a more high-fashion look

Contour 

The soft brown lip colour lipstick 💄 or shades darker than respective own skin tone to contour own cheekbones, define own temples & hide the pesky double chin, if any

Generally, the creamy & crayon lipsticks are much easier to blend. While the long-lasting matte or liquid lipsticks will give a more prominent contour

Tips 📌: These lipsticks texture can dry up quickly, instead need to blend it quickly before it dries down on skin

Blush

Lipstick in pink, red, orange & nude lip colours are good to be used as a cream blush on cheeks. In particularly, those with soft matte, velvety, or creamy lipsticks as these textures are easy to blend & will not feel heavy on skin after application

How to❓⁉️

Very simple, just swapped a bit on finger & then blend well on skin, or just dab a few dots of the lipstick on the apples of cheeks & blend well with fingers/ dense brush/ blend sponge

Personally, SiennyLovesDrawing loves using pink lipstick 💗💄 as a blush as it gives cheeks a naturally flushed look 😍🥰

Bronzer

A bronzer is used to add structure to face, it creates an illusion of a narrower face & structured bone structure

A bronzer is mainly applied on the lower cheekbones, jawline, forehead & nose 👃

Highlight 

A frosted lipstick ie. The lipstick with a hint of shimmer in it to offer lips a glossy & shiny look, can be used as a highlight stick & swipe it anywhere on face

You can highlight cheekbones, the bridge of the nose 👃, cupid’s bow, under the eyebrow arch & the tip of the chin.  Then, blend well, set & glowy look 🥰

🆕 Lip Colour

If you’re boring with the existing lipstick colours, you can create a 🆕 shade by mixing 2️⃣ lip colours or more to make a 🆕 toned lip colour

Yeah‼️ SiennyLovesDrawing AGAIN had a beautiful artsy #proudaunt recent weekend with her little niece 👩🏻💕👧🏻 & other HOOGA-lics from Klang Valley for a Telve Vase 🏺 texture art workshop at HOOGA , Mid Valley Megamall, Kuala Lumpur & conducted by Cik ?? 🧕🏼 (Oppsss …Hope this beautiful lovely art instructor doesn’t angry her for not remembering her name 😅🤦🏻‍♀️,  from The Weekend Workshop, only if she is reading here 😉 hahaha…)

The workshop was held again at its community garden with picnic tables & some chill-faux botanicals surrounding it, a very comfortable learning vibes with some greens 💚 & calm comfy environment

The workshop started with the art instructor 🧕🏼 introduction & then followed by explanation of art tools & materials to be used. Lastly, she has demonstrated the art steps to all participants. She explained all very detailed & calm 💯👍🏻

Highly recommend this fruitful art time workshops for kids & children if your little ones enjoy art in general 🖌️🎨 It’s truly a way for mental health wellness by doing art following your heart ❤️

Actually SiennyLovesDrawing 👩🏻 got to know about this amazing art event earlier, however due to year end & CNY festive travelling, so she delayed her visit to it until very recently 😁

Personally, when she 1️⃣st stepped into the art space, she got amazed with the scene with freshly-washed laundry (Actually old used clothes, check out more via 🌐 https://www.instagram.com/p/CjkA8f1ANwz/ ) fluttering in the breeze on bamboo structures & just like she was back to the once upon a time 😊 Yes ✅, it’s all done up by the famous local Malaysian contemporary artist, Ms Red Hong Yi 👩🏻‍🎨 & her amazing team 👏🏻👍🏻

~ My Alleyway Memories: Once Upon A Longtang ~ It’s an art installation with a 6️⃣m tall bamboo structure & 8️⃣ hanging canvas artworks each painted with burnt red calligraphy paper ❤️🖌️

SiennyLovesDrawing got impressed how the brown burning effect created the unique art feels 👩🏻😍🤩, it requires patience & dedication details effortlessly in this creation of art senses, bravo 👏🏻

It’s Ms Red Hong Yi’s 👩🏻‍🎨 1️⃣st artwork that being given such a prominent platform at a major Malaysian art institution ~ NAG Malaysia 🇲🇾 She is an internationally acclaimed artist with a visually captivating showcase of art made from everyday objects including tea bags, flower petals & eggshells etc. with several impressive do-it-yourself projects created

This is now formed part of the NAG’s “Single” series of exhibitions & it features scenes from old alleyway houses or longtang residences which were built in Shanghai, China 🇨🇳 from the 1840s to 1940s

Ms Red actually lived for 2️⃣ years from 2011 to 2013 with her granduncle & grandaunts

This offers the art gallery visitors a glimpse into the relationships that are important to Ms Red Hong Yi 👩🏻‍🎨

Also an invitation to revisit the fast-disappearing tradition of longtang houses as the old makes way for the 🆕 in Shanghai, China 🇨🇳

Alleyway houses combine both Chinese & Western architectural styles & are built side-by-side along narrow interconnected passageways. Ms Red 👩🏻‍🎨 looks back fondly on her time living there, describing life in a longtang compound as noisy, messy & intimate. She further explained that you would see locals gathered in these cramped alleys, chattering & gossiping about their children or grandchildren. Vendors would sell vegetables or second-hand items on mats. In the afternoons, residents roll up their sleeves & cook, hand-wash laundry or play mahjong with their neighbours

With longtangs quickly disappearing in the face of modernity, this art installation attempts to address impermanence, tradition & urbanisation. It’s also the Ms Red’s 👩🏻‍🎨 way of preserving her personal memories of these alleyways & local residents by making art inspired by photographs 📸📸 that she took while living there. “I wanted to use my art to tell more personal stories of places & people who are important to me. I wanted people to see 👀 & feel the relationships I had, & maybe even experience the people & places that I love ❤️ in a way that I love them. says Ms Red 👩🏻‍🎨 , who left her career as an architect to be a full-time artist in 2014

“I hope my story will encourage you to dig into your own heritage & roots you never know where it may lead you

I also hope it will get people to think about what we have today, & to cherish places & relationships we have today because everything will change eventually.” Ms Red reminded all 👩🏻‍🎨

Yes ✅, it’s about time to say good bye to 2022 & welcome the 🆕 year 2023, the year of the Rabbit 🐇🐰

Also a very special time in Japan 🇯🇵, of course in Malaysia 🇲🇾  with this Nengajyo 2023 event happening now for all Malaysians 😃😁

1️⃣ of the most celebrated traditions during the Japanese New Year お正月 is to send 📬📮 New Year’s greeting cards, or Nengajyo “年賀状” It meant to preserve good relations with the precious people in our lives

Oshogatsu お正月 aka Japanese New Year is a very special time in Japan 🇯🇵 It’s 1️⃣ of the most important & most celebrated Japanese holidays. Japanese people will start clean their homes 🧹🧼🧽🏡🏘️ from top to bottom (Oosoji), preparing traditional food to be eaten during the 1️⃣st 3️⃣ days of the new year (Osechi Ryori) etc.

It’s similar to the holiday greeting cards exchanged in the European countries, Nengajyo are an important part of Japan’s New Year festivities. Nengajyo cards are distinctively designed with special New Year’s motifs. Many feature the eto, or zodiac animal of the upcoming 🆕 year. Traditional themes such as kadomatsu (decorative arrangements of pine, bamboo 🎍 & sometimes plum blossoms 🌸), kites 🪁, eggplant & the sun rising over Mount Fuji 🗻 are also popular Nengajyo designs in Japan 🇯🇵
