Tai Saek Ethic Village Visit @ Nakhon Phanom 🇹🇭

Yeah‼As promised from SiennyLovesDrawing 👩🏻’s earlier blogging👩🏻‍💻📝about MTF2018, she is now gonna sharing about her visits to 2⃣ ethnic villages in Nakhon Phanom province, Thailand 🇹🇭 ~ Tai Saek Village & Tai Guan Village ✌🏻😁

Photo 26-06-2018, 8 47 37 AM

She started 1⃣st here with Tai Saek Village, which formed part of the MTF2018’s agenda & relating to Eco Tourism. Still remembered her beautiful 😍 #OOTD 👚 shared earlier❓⁉🤗

It’s limited-edition 💯% handmade shirt👚by the local Tai Saek village people 👭👬👫, really love it very much 💗 😍

Tai Saek village (At Samat village) is located 4️⃣️km to the town of Nakhon Phanom, the famous Paya Sri Satta Nakarat ⛩🐉🐲 & very near to the ️3️⃣rd Thai🇹🇭-Laos🇹🇭 friendship bridge🌉too. At the end of the village visit, some of her friends 👭👬👫actually took a bicycle 🚲ride from the village to the bridge 🌉

Wow‼Unforgettable welcoming cum blessing 😇 ceremony by the elderly village people & she has paid her respect 🙏🏻 to the village ancestor during this welcoming blessing ceremony 😇

She wasn’t really understand as the blessing 😇 ceremony was conducted in local ethnic language. She was told by the tour guide that it’s a blessing for great health, wealth & fortune in life 🤗☺

Hmm…She got 2️⃣️ eggs🥚🥚 & a banana 🍌 from this blessing 😇 ceremony, great fortune ahead 🍀🍀 for SiennyLovesDrawing 👩🏻, see her happy face, Ha…Ha…😃😁

Thank you 🙏🏻 🙏🏻 very much for all blessingsss 😇

Photo 28-06-2018, 10 24 05 PM.jpg

Yeah!! She 👩🏻 is blessed to enjoy the ‘Pestle/ Stick Dance” aka “Saek-Ten-Saak “ performed by the Tai Saek ethnic group. It’s performed annually on the Tai Saek village ancestor worship day i.e. on the 2⃣nd day of waxing moon of the 3️⃣rd lunar month to please the spirit. She was told that if this dance requires to be performed for other timing/ period, the village spiritual leader will have to ask for permission by offering a pig’s head, 2⃣️0️⃣️️-Thai baht cash 💰 & liquor 🥃, then pick up a predictive coloured stick. If the village spiritual leader has picked up a stick of the same colour, it means the spirit does not 🈲 allow for the request

The dancers will perform to the fast rhythm of drums & striking pestles painted in both red & white colours 😃😁

Wow‼Delicious Mekong river fishes 🐟🐟 lunch served by the Tai Saek local people  👭👬👫

Photo 28-06-2018, 10 34 38 PM.jpg

Hmm…She loves 😍♥️ the dishes serving with banana leaves 🍌🌱🌿, including the handmade banana leaves 🍌🌱🌿 tissue papers casing too

Impressive‼

Photo 28-06-2018, 10 36 09 PM.jpg

Special thanks 🙏🏻 to all the yummy delicious fish 🐟🐟 dishes, definitely an unforgettable fresh fish 🐟 lunch dining

Guess what❓⁉

This village people 👭👬👫 has start to adopt on Eco Tourism strategy i.e. having & managing the fish 🐟 farms by continuing breed the Mekong river  fishes 🐟🐟 The people 👭👬👫 started to catch the small fishes 🐟🐟 from the Mekong river & then transferring them to the fish 🐟 farms set at te riverside

Photo 28-06-2018, 10 28 09 PM.jpg

According to the village people 👭👬👫, this fish 🐟 farms formed 1️⃣️ of the tourists destination while visiting to Tai Saek village

Yeah‼️ Mekong river fishes 🐟🐟 definitely 1️⃣️ of the many signatures within Nakhon Phanom province ~ actually a natural resource to the ethnic villages of this province in Thailand 🇹🇭

She also enjoyed the traditional music & song 🎶🎵🎼 in Tai Saek dialect too

However, she was told by the local people 👭👬👫 of this village that very limited younger generation are interested 😌

Ohh….So sad & disappointing to hear about it 😌

Really hope more of the younger generation of this village will learn to continue the music tradition cum cultures then 🤗🙂

1️⃣ of the homemade product from the local people 👭👬👫 of this village is the chilies sauce 🌶️

Photo 30-06-2018, 11 18 19 AM.jpg

Highly recommended 👆👍 as a souvenir 🎁 from Tai Saek village visit, a motivational support to the Tai Saek community 😉😃

She has tried & love it, yeah‼ Even though she is not  a spicy lover, but this chilies sauce 🌶️ not very spicy & very yummy delicious 😋🤤 to enjoy with fresh vegetables 🥗🥒& dishes served 🥘🍛

Guess what❓⁉

The local people of this village also with a great go green 💚 initiative

Bravo👏🏻👍🏻

IMG_8301

She has attended a short workshop & learnt to handmade herself a bracelet with just recycled item 🙂

Yeah‼️ A brilliant idea💡~ A bracelet which made with the rings from the can beverages

A very simple & easy making process, you will sure impress about it & no worry about local language/ dialect communication failure too✌️☺️

Photo 28-06-2018, 10 26 01 PM

My art passion story for The Best Of You 2015 😊

Wrote my art passion story for The Best Of You 2015, refer link ☺️

Since young, I love to draw/ doodle. I remembered when I was young, I enjoyed various fashion shows on tv, then I will doodle all kinds of the fashion designs as a “little fashion designer” so called at that time. Sigh..so sad that my mum didn’t keep any of my childhood doodles, else I would have own more of my little artist memories from my childhood.

But don’t know since when I have stopped drawing/ doodling for years. I do not study art instead I studied accountancy as my mum wished. So, I only called myself a self-taught artist.

I started to draw again and would like to share my drawing passion in my blog https://siennylovesdrawing.wordpress.com. I love drawing/ doodling because it will make me calm, relax and enhance my creativity. My favourite doodle style is detailed ink art. I have participated in some art collaborations/ art projects including mural art/ joined art exhibitions/ art bazaars etc. It’s not easy to earn a living with just my art passion, so I still keep my full time job to support my art passion. All the time after work of weekdays and the weekends are for my art passion. Sometimes I do art for charity reason without fee, but my satisfactions gained from the art appreciations from people who enjoy and like my artworks. A simple compliment on my artworks will make me a happy day.

I enjoy my art passion even with low fee as long as my name is quoted on my artworks/ published on the art projects participated. By allowing the artist’s signature on their artworks is a form of respect to the artist who prepared the artworks in particular for hand drawn art. This is because it is original art piece by the artist and there will not be a second same original piece, except you reprint from the original.

~~Every child is an artist, the problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up~~ Picasso

I also teach kids expressive art workshops on a part time basis. I wish to enhance the kids’ expressive and creativity through art. I am trying my best to keep kids’ creativity through art to express themselves and at the same time to urge parents to appreciate their kid’s creativity in their artworks. Kids shouldn’t being force to do art just to win contests etc.

I wish in near future, I am able to own a dessert cafe with my drawing passion as decoration. Everyone that visit my cafe can enjoy dessert and drawing in their own way to relax : )

Will my story be included in this The Best Of You 2015 exhibition? Hmm…do wish SiennyLovesDrawing many good luck 😊😉

Omg…just realised 2mins ago, 15Dec15 that my story actually being featured on 25 Nov 15 in The Best Of You ~ Julie’s FB page with so many likes, comments and being shared too 😄😃 Thank you! I will continue to deliver my best in pursuing my art passion!
