Returning by instinct to the very area that they were hatched๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ข๐ข, the 7.6km beach ๐๐ at RWK ๐ข๐๐ย is 1๏ธโฃ of these hallowed places
Despite turtles ๐ข๐ข watching ๐, this RWG๐ข๐๐ โs turtles ๐ข๐ขย conservation ๐ efforts @ RWK ๐ข๐๐ย also supported by various of its guests’ย ๐ญ๐ฌ๐ซ activities,
i. Turtleย ๐ขย Eggsย ๐ฅ๐ฅย Planting
A proper briefingย ๐ฃ๏ธ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ will be provided with the Dos โ ย & Don’tsย โ, including a demostration by the resort’s turtles ๐ข๐ขย rangers
Bravoโผ๏ธย This is important to ensure all the precious turtle ๐ข eggs ๐ฅ๐ฅareย all appropriately planted by RWK ๐ข๐๐ ‘s guests ๐ญ๐ฌ๐ซย accordingly
Some of the guidance are,
- Must wear gloves before holding the eggsย ๐ฅ๐ฅ
- Dig the hole with enough depth for eggsย ๐ฅ๐ฅย planting (It’s advisable to have between 6๏ธโฃ๏ธย to ๐ย eggs๐ฅ๐ฅin each planting nest)
- Once hold the egg๐ฅ, not to turn the egg ๐ฅin any directions
- Put the egg ๐ฅslowly on the ground of the hole prepared for turtle ๐ขย eggs ๐ฅ๐ฅplanting
- Then, covered the sand, fence up & labelled with date of egg๐ฅplanting
For about 3๏ธโฃ months, the eggs๐ฅ๐ฅwill lay incubating in the sand, only for the hatchlings ๐ข๐ขย to emerge during a full moon ๐ & speed their way to the ocean ๐
In the years to come, many will return ๐ข๐ข to the very same beach ๐๐, completing the cycle of life. Of course RWK ๐ข๐๐ always will be there waiting to welcome them back ๐ข๐ข๐๐๐ฅ๐ฅ
ii. Turtles hatchling releasing๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ข๐ขย to the ocean ๐
