Air Hangat / Ayer Hangat ๐ฆ๐งVillage ๐๐ก๐ (In Malaysia๐ฒ๐พ’s national language & meant for hot spring village) is located approximately 14km (20mins drive๐๐) North of the Kuah Town (its largest town) of Langkawi Island ๐ด๐๐
There are 3๏ธโฃ-tiered hot spring ๐ฆ๐งwells here & well known as its centre of attraction ๐๐ป๐๐คฉ

It’s a natural salt water ๐ฆ๐งhot spring ya
Yesโ , not the commonly found fresh water ๐ฆ๐ง hot spring within Malaysia๐ฒ๐พ
Moreover, it’s not nearby sea ๐ side, this village is located ๐in the middle of Langkawi Island ๐ด๐๐
This is really rare & can only be found in 3๏ธโฃ other countries in the world i.e. Green Island in Taiwan ๐น๐ผ (nearby sea ๐ side), Kyushu Islandย in Japan ๐ฏ๐ต & Sicilyย in Italy ๐ฎ๐น So, a must visit when you’re at Langkawi Island ๐ด๐๐๐ป
Natural hot salted spring water ๐ฆ๐งis being pumped in the small ponds &ย fountains within a landscaped gardens ๐ณ๐ฟ๐ท๐น๐บ๐ผ๐ป๐ธ & reflexology ๐ฃ๐ฃ paths
You will sure note the small hot water ๐ฆ๐ง bubbles within the pools as the natural hot spring water ๐ฆ๐งcomes out from the bottom part of the well while you’re relaxing soaking your feet ๐ฃ into then ๐
Hmm…She has read ๐ some unfavourable comments, however from her recent visit, she notes that the maintaining is all right & of course can be enhanced.ย Overall, it’s clean & comfy for her 1๏ธโฃst salted hot spring ๐ฆ๐งexperience ๐ She loves it โค๏ธ
Highly recommended ๐๐ป๐๐ปfor a family visit. She was told that the salted hot spring water ๐ฆ๐งcan cure skin disease, improve on joint pain etc.

Kilim Geoforest Park ๐๐ณ๐ณ
This 100 sqkm park sets along the North East tip of Langkawi Island ๐ด๐๐ & being accessible via a 5๏ธโฃmins drive ๐๐ from Tanjung Rhu Beach ๐
It was granted with aย World ๐ Geoparkย status (52nd Global Geopark, 1๏ธโฃst in Malaysia ๐ฒ๐พ & SEA region) byย UNESCO since June 2007. This proud ๐๐ป๐๐ป endorsement was given for itsย significant geoheritage features i.e. landscapes ๐, caves sea arches ๐ & sea stacks, dropstones, fossil & local community involvement ๐ซ๐ญ๐ฌ
Then, it was granted with the Certificate of Membership dubbed the Green ๐ Card by Asia Pacific Geoparks Network, under the auspices of the Global ๐ Geopark Network (GGN). Bravoโผ๏ธ๐๐ป๐๐ป

It should comprise of a territory with well-defined limits that has a large enough surface area for it to serve local economic development. Wowโผ๏ธ She was told during the migratory ๐ฆ ๐ฆ seasons i.e. Sept to March, definitely can spot some bird life of varying species e.g. king fishers, white-bellied fish eagles, kite eagles etc. ๐ฆ๐ง๐ฆ
You can opt for a riverboat cruise ๐ข along the Kilim River (between RM200 to RM500 with tour guide ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ) to explore this lovely protected park๐

She has visited to the Bat ๐ฆ Cave ~ The habitat of 1๏ธโฃK’s of Malaysian Fruit Bats ๐ฆ๐ฆDo get a flashlight ๐ฆ to help you traverse through the cave ๐ & have a good look at these creatures of the night ๐๐ Tips: Look up the cave ceiling โฌ๏ธ when you’re in the cave, bats around itย ๐ฆ๐ฆ

Langkawi Wildlife Park
This 5.5 acres with an ambience of a tropical rainforest ๐ณ๐ณ park has opened to public since Nov 2002 & it was known as ‘Langkawi Bird Paradise’ ๐ง๐ฆ๐ฆ ๐ฆ
It’s located๐in Kilim area & with ๐mins drive ๐๐ from the Kuah Town. It featured mainly the different species of birds ๐ฆ๐ง๐ฆ๐ฆ initially, then with addition of many mammals, reptiles & other exhibits, hence has been renamed as Langkawi Wildlife Park ๐๐ฆ๐๐ฟ๐ฆ๐ฆ
A must visit especially for family with kids ๐ถ๐ป๐ง๐ป๐ง๐ป๐ฆ๐ป๐ง๐ป Definitely an educational tour for the kids to learn much more about birds ๐ฆ ๐ฆ & animals ๐ฆ๐ด๐ฐ Very interactive too, the visitors ๐ซ๐ญ๐ฌ are allow ๐ to touch & feed the animals with the assistance from the friendly park officers ๐ฎ๐ปโโ๏ธ๐ฎ๐ปโโ๏ธ
