Have been reading ๐ / watching ๐ a lotsss about Royal Belum State Park ๐ณ๐ณ of Gerik, Perak ๐ฒ๐พ which covered by various main medias ๐ฐ๐บ๐ป, newspapers๐๐ฐ, documentaries, articles๐๐๐๐, social media platforms ๐จ๐ปโ๐ป๐ฉ๐ปโ๐ป etc.
SiennyLovesDrawing ๐ฉ๐ป is really amazed ๐๐คฉ with its beautiful greenery ๐ณ๐๐ณ surrounding as she loves ๐ nature & really wish she can be there personally ๐ญ

She recently got an exclusive opportunity to join a group of the other 19pax media members ๐ญ๐ซ๐ฌ to enjoy aย 2๏ธโฃD1๏ธโฃNย houseboat stay trip ๐๐ถ๐งข๐at Casuarina@Temenggor1๏ธโฃ โด to Royal Belum Rainforestย ๐ณ๐๐ณ
Yesโ Yesโ ~ Royal Belum ๐ณ๐ณย , The Worldโs ๐ Oldest Rainforest ๐๐~
The trip was started with a 5๏ธโฃ-hour++ coach ๐๐ trip from KL to Banding Island Jetty โ๏ธ (Approximately 372km), Perak state of Malaysia ๐ฒ๐พ
Then, she was boarding from the jetty โ๏ธ to Casuarina@Temenggor1๏ธโฃ houseboat โด for checked in with the group ๐ญ๐ฌ๐ซ It was a late check-in though of 4๏ธโฃpm. While the houseboat normal check-in time is 2๏ธโฃpm
Got her room with her room mate๐ญ, some of the facilities on boardโด,
- All rooms are twin sharing (some are available to connecting with next door), with cabinet ๐ช, air conditioning ๐จโ๏ธ, TV ๐บ , kettle, towels, toiletries etc.
- Full board meals ๐ฝ๐ดof breakfast, lunch & dinner at open deck โด dining area by the kitchen crews on board ๐จ๐ปโ๐ณ๐ฉ๐ปโ๐ณ
- CCTV ๐บ for all guestsโ ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ซ safety & security
- Shower ๐ฟ cum restrooms ๐ฝ (Opppss…She forgot ๐คฆ๐ปโโ๏ธ to capture a photo ๐ธ for sharing…It’s clean ya)
- Karaoke ๐ค ๐ผ๐ถ๐ต system
- Open deck โด for fishing ๐ฃ activities etc.
She has then enjoyed the welcome drink๐น, afternoon tea time โ๏ธ & attended a brief introduction about Royal Belum Forest ๐ณ๐ณ by the boat captain cum guide, Pak Man ๐๐ฝโโ๏ธ
Then, a speed boat ๐ค transfer to Sungai Papan to visit the wet animals saltlicks ~ Sira Gajah. The guide ๐๐ฝโโ๏ธ has shared that saltlick isย a mineral salt source for the animals/ herbivores especially to gain their energy ๐ช๐ป๐๐ป
The guide ๐๐ฝโโ๏ธ also shared thatย around 7๏ธโฃam to ๐am or 6๏ธโฃpm to 7๏ธโฃpm daily, possible to view some animals stopping by here if lucky ๐
Sigh…No luck ๐ for her & her group ๐ญ๐ซ๐ฌ during their saltlick visit though…No animalsโ๐๐๐ , but only the camera ๐ท which being placed on a tree ๐ณ to capture ๐ธ the animal visitsss to the saltlick ๐๐
Guess whatโโ๏ธ
She has made a mistake ๐คฆ๐ปโโ๏ธ when 1๏ธโฃst heard ๐๐ป from the guide๐๐ฝโโ๏ธ, she thought it was salt lake, upon arrival she was wondering where was the lakeโโ๏ธ Ha…Ha…Saltlicks vs Salt lake ๐๐
Yeahโผ๏ธ Free ๐ activities till ๐ฝ๐ดBBQ ๐ข๐ข dinner to be ready & served then. Some of her friends ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ซ were enjoyed reading ๐ / rest ๐ด๐ค in room, some chit chatting ๐ฃ๐ฅ๐ค๐ฅ, some fishing ๐ฃ …
While she felt so relax ๐ & just lay back on a beach chair at open deck โด to enjoy the nice wind breeze & watch ๐ the peaceful beautiful ๐๐คฉ sunset ๐ of the day
She had an early sleep ๐๐ด๐ค after dinner ๐ฝ๐ดafter catching up ๐ฃ๐ฅ๐ค๐ฅ with her media friends ๐๐
An early ๐ ๐ wake up, breakfast ๐ณโ๏ธ๐ฝ & had a speed boat ๐ค transfer to visit the Jahai tribal aka Kampung Orang Asli named Kampung Aman Damai, 1๏ธโฃ of theย Malaysian ๐ฒ๐พ aboriginal tribe villages. They have just move to this new ๐ place (still in the midst of construction ๐จ๐ง ) from its old village for a new ๐ planting ground ๐ฟ๐ฑ๐พ
The villagersย ๐ซ๐ญ๐ฌ were all very shy โบ๏ธ during our visit
After that, went for a jungle ๐ณ๐ณ trekking ๐ถ๐ปโโ๏ธ๐ถ๐ปโโ๏ธ to Sungai Ruok Waterfall ๐๐ฆ๐ง/ Kelah Fish Sanctuary (aka Mahseer) ๐๐๐ฆ๐ง
Not to be missedโผ๏ธ She loves โค๏ธ the cool refreshing waterfall ๐๐ฆ๐ง swimming ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ with many many Kelah fish ๐๐ around ๐๐คฉ Ha…Ha…She actually was floating by wearing a life jacket ๐ฝ with her since she can’t swim โ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ Don’t laugh ๐๐ at her ya

Then, shower ๐ฟ๐๐ป๐ง๐ปโโ๏ธ & packed luggages ๐๐ผ for checked out ๐
Bye ๐๐ป bye ๐๐ป …Will surely be backโผ๏ธ๐ค
After checked outโด, boat ๐ค transfer back to Jetty โ๏ธ & coach ๐๐ journey to check-in Hotel Casuarina@Meru ๐ข for its Steamboat ๐ฅ๐ฒ & Grill ๐ข๐ขset dinner ๐ฝ๐ดat its rooftop Executive Club (Available 7pm to 10.30pm)
Then, 43 sqm studio suite with her roommate ๐ญ for a comfy night stay ๐๐ด๐ค as the room furnished with comfortable sofa ๐, inviting arm chairs, flat screen tv ๐บ, mineral water ๐ฆ๐ง, complimentary juices ๐ฅค in fridge, toiletries etc. ๐๐ Moreover, she loves her room view to Bulatan Aman Jaya the next morning ๐ ๐

We become someone else when connected with nature. I wouldn’t mind diving in the water for 10 minutes. Nature is so good- beautiful pictures BTW.

Wow! I never knew that those really kind of existed. I mean, usually those kind of boats are usually owned by the filthy rich people. It sure looks like fun. Nature can’t stop amazing me with its magnificent rainforest and sceneries. I just hope there weren’t too much insects lurking around because that would be awful!

It’s obvious that you had a great time here. I have yet to take a bath in a waterfall. It would be an adventure to do that. We also tried fishing last summer but we were not lucky. Maybe next time. ๐
