Pantai Penyabong aka Tanjung Penyabong 🏖️

Penyabong comes from the activities of pirates who live in this area who enjoy chicken fighting, a traditional game here. It offers many attractions & activities for tourists ie. boating 🚤 , canoeing 🛶 , fishing 🎣 , camping 🏕️ , hiking into nearby forests 🥾🌳🌳, visit to Malay villages or to the island 🏝️ & visit a “kelong” aka fish 🐟 farm on the way back
There are beach resorts that offer budget accommodation as well as mid-range for meeting facilities. There are also food stalls, rest huts 🛖 , toilets 🚽 & shower 🚿 facilities. A sea sports centre rents equipment for canoeing 🛶 , fishing 🎣 & other water-based activities

It’s a stunning in shining gold pre-African structured mosque 💛🕌 that radiates a sense of calm & tranquillity
Looking stunning with its blue 💙 & white 🤍architecture & was completed in 1956. It’s situated on a small hill ⛰️ overlooking the esplanade of Mersing. Climb up to this hilltop & admire the magnificent views of the South China Sea 🌊 , Mersing River & Mersing Town

Mersing Harbour Centre
It’s a 24 hours operating main ferry terminal in Mersing. It’s the starting point for ferries ⛴️ to various islands within. The centre also has several restaurants & shops
Sight-seeing Island Tour to Pulau Harimau, Pulau Hujung, Pulau Tengah, Pulau Besar & Pulau Rawa

The bahulu here are cooked with burnt coconut ♨️🥥 fiber. It’s delicious 😋 🤤 to enjoy the hot cooked bahulu on the spot, however it’s limited stock available if you plan to just drop by & buy

Gorek aka Nicker Tree ~ Caesalpinia Bonduc(L.) Roxb. is a type of creeping tree 🌳 & usually grown in the village as a hedge plant. It can grow up to 10m heights. The leaves are bipinnate. Gorek seed decoction can be used to treat high blood pressure & diabetes as well as Malaria
