Save Our Rainforest Race 2019

Yeah‼️ The annual Save Our Rainforest Race 🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♂️ (SORR) 2019 by the Organization For The Preservation of Natural Heritage (Pertubuhan Pelindung Khazanah Alam Malaysia in Malaysia 🇲🇾 ‘s national language) aka PEKA 🌱 Malaysia 🇲🇾 is back 😁

PEKA🌱 Malaysia 🇲🇾 is a Non-governmental organizations (NGO), charitable organisation which was formed with the following aims,

• To stop ✋🏻🛑 the destruction of natural resources 💚🌳🌳
• To defend the rights of environment
• Be the voice of nature
• To educate to create awareness about nature 💚, sound health, the preservation & sustenance of the environment

National Aspiration & Leadership Summit Malaysia (NALS) was a collaboration 🤝 partner for SORR2019

Guess what❓⁉️

This 7️⃣th race 🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♂️was at the📍Malacca Botanical Garden, Ayer Keroh & in conjuction to celebrating 🎉🎊 the International Day of Forests 🌳🌳

“Save Our Rainforest 🌳🌳 to Save Our Wildlife 🐘🦏🐅🐆” ~ SORR 2019’s tagline jointly organised between PEKA🌱 Malaysia 🇲🇾 & the Melaka Forestry Department 🌳🌳

SORR2019 🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♂️was a peaceful hike through nature 💚 i.e. an adventure-styled & hiking nature race 🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♂️that covers a distance of approximately 15km with aims to replant 500 trees 🌳🌳(Yes ✅, similarly to last year SORR 🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♂️) around the Malacca Botanical Garden, as well as to create awareness on the importance of conserving our rainforest 🌳🌳

SORR2019 🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♂️also as a fun walk-for-a-cause event to aspire all its participants 👫👭👬 to embed the significance of preserving the environment & ecosystem among Malaysians 🇲🇾👭👬👫

A special thank you & great appreciation to her travel mate, IG @wendypua who drove the whole return journeys from KL to Malacca & as her running partner 👭

Each participating team 👫👬👭comprises 2️⃣ individuals 👥 with registration fee 🎟 per team of RM160 for this 15km race🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♂️

• Bib number 🔢
• Sling Bag 🎒
• Keychain 🔑
• Water 💦💧 Bottle (a go green 💚 initiative to reduce ⬇️ single used plastic by refilling drinking water 💦💧 along the race 🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♂️ journey)

As usual, she 👩🏻 has arrived superb early🔅for the race with her running partner👭, after enjoyed the breakfast 🥪 pack prepared by The Settlement Hotel Melaka 🏢🛌🛀🏻🚽 ( 🌐 https://thesettlementhotel.com/) from her stay, special thank you 🙏🏻😊 for accommodating early breakfast request 😁

There were breakfast 🥐🍞 (including lunch 🍽🍴) which provided to all participants 👭👬👫, including healthy beverages ~ Milo & 100Plus 🥤before & after the race 🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♂️

Hmm…Do be a nature lovers 💚 by exploring, enjoying & appreciating the natures best. Don’t ever ❌ plucking 🤚🏻any leaves 🌱🌿 , plants, collecting rocks or taking home anything from the botanical garden📍

Surely look great 👍🏻 with it‼️ None bulky & it provides a smooth silhouette especially her waistline 😍

She 👩🏻 loves 💗 its light weight & breathable materials while wearing it from her toes 👣 up with graduated compression ⤴️

Not to worry, she 👩🏻 wasn’t feeling its compression at all during her long race 🏃🏻‍♀️with it, very comfortable 😌👍🏻
