SiennyLovesDrawing & her little niece had great ๐๐ป learning time at the FunSTEM Carnival hosted at ALFA and Friends Sdn Bhd (No. 201601005690) Headquarter in Puchong, Selangor this recent weekend ๐ฉ๐ป๐ง๐ป๐๐ย
This FunSTEM Carnival was officiated byย its honourable VIP guest ie. the member of Parliament for Puchong, YB Yeo Bee Yin ๐ฉ๐ปโ๐ผ in the morning ๐๐ย
“We were thrilled to be hosting the FunSTEM Carnival with our strategic partners & hoped our little effort could develop more STEM leaders in the nation’s workforce moving forward.” said Ms Ho Teh Eng ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ, the Founder & Chief Executive Officer of ALFA and Friends & an ex chemical engineer at this FunSTEM Carnival opening ceremony
This FUNSTEM Carnival is not just learning, but also strengthening critical thinking skills, problem solving & creativity of children ๐ง๐ป๐ฆ๐ป๐ง๐ป
It’s a good ๐๐ป opportunity for children to build a solid foundation in Science & Technology while having fun with friends, then to develop a full generation of potential in society scientific & technological

In line with the increasing โฌ๏ธ recognition of the importance of early childhood care & education (ECCE) by parents, educators & the government, ALFA and Friends want to make the Carnival a successful ๐๐ป FUNSTEM which focuses on developing critical thinking skills, creativity & collaboration skills
This carnival is designed to inculcate children’s interest in Science & Technology since childhood, then opens the door ๐ฏ๐ช to unlimited future opportunitiesย
This education-themed carnival was hosted as a half day ie. from 8:30am to 2:30pm. & welcomed visitors from all ages, especially parents with children aged 4 to 12. Itโs with ๐ admission to all public with a unique & enjoyable learning experience for all. This educational carnival aims to give exposure to the public, especially parents, to learn about the importance of STEM education to children
When she was 1๏ธโฃst arrived, SiennyLovesDrawing ๐ฉ๐ป observed that this corner lot educational centre was open with both of its outdoor space with canopy booths & also its indoor ground floor with many different activities booths
All really good thoughts, exciting & interesting carnival activities including STEM related demonstrations & activities, hands-on experiments, competitions, parenting talk, educational booths & many more activities were well-prepared for children of all ages to enjoy. It also hosted a children’s fashion show with “STEM Career” as the theme ๐คฉ๐ฏ
ALFA and Friends also wish to share awareness regarding STEM education which can be introduced through fun approaches to make children love โค๏ธ learning
This can meet the Malaysia’s ๐ฒ๐พ objective of creating a young future generations that are more exposed to the STEM education
STEM Competitions
The competition participants ie. The ALFA and Friends Centre students had the opportunity to showcase their skills & innovation in STEM competitions (Final Round) for Coding & Robotics, Digital Art & Maths respectively
STEM Workshops
These interactive engaging workshops designed to inspire creativity & critical thinking in participants of ages 4 to 12

- โ Tornado In The Bottle ~ SiennyLovesDrawing has registered prior for her little niece to attend this workshop. Her little niece ๐ง๐ป has learnt so much about how gravity concept triggers the tornado through the clear step by step guided by the friendly teacher. Yes โ , the carnival participants ie. The parents & children get ๐ trial class with interactive sessions to explore the hands-on learning experiences & valuable information about each STEM related topics
- Little Bot ~ With the guidance from teacher ๐ฉ๐ปโ๐ซ, SiennyLovesDrawing’s little niece ๐ง๐ป has enjoyed how to instruct the little robot ๐ค to reach the destination through step by step direction either go straight, turn right, turn left etc.
- Coding & Robotics ~ With the guidance from teacher ๐ฉ๐ปโ๐ซ, her little niece really enjoyed max the zombie game ๐ง๐ป๐ป which was created by ALFA and Friends’s own student aged 9๏ธโฃ years old, impressive ๐๐ป๐ฏ๐๐ป
- Digital Art ~ Her little niece has listened to the clear guidance from teacher ๐ฉ๐ปโ๐ซ๐ง๐ป on how to use the iPad & digital pencil prepared at this booth to explore the digital colouring on the FunSTEM Carnival artwork from the iPad’s screen
SiennyLovesDrawing as an official guardian for her little niece ๐ฉ๐ป๐๐ง๐ป has gained & learnt so much more about STEM programs from this carnival participation & the relevant program that suits her from the teacher’s explanation
Moreover, she has observed & discovered that her little niece actually interested with robotics & science experiments from this carnival participation
