Yeah‼️ SiennyLovesDrawing 👩🏻 really enjoyed her dining 🍽 at Pak 👴🏻 Awang Gearbox, a family based food business at Slim River, Perak, West Malaysia 🇲🇾 during her recent travelling😋

Before dining here, she was curious 🤔❓from its name ~ Gearbox❓⁉️

Hmm…What’s the specialty serving here❓⁉️

It’s noodles / vermicelli cooked in Hailam style 🍜 (i.e. with thick gravy & Chinese cooking style) & serving with Gearbox by its owner, Pak 👴🏻 Awang or in short “Mee Hailam Pak Awang” in Bahasa Melayu i.e. Malaysia’s 🇲🇾 national language🙂

So, what is Gearbox❓⁉️

It’s actually meant for beef 🐂🐮 / buffalo 🐃 bone marrow for Malay community. You can use a straw to enjoy its cooked bone marrow as it’s with high ⬆️ nutrition (Hmm…also high ⬆️ in fat, so not recommended to consume it frequently ya 😉)

Yeah‼️ She has a privilege chance to have a chat 🗣👤with Pak 👴🏻 Awang while waiting for the foods 🍜 to be served

Pak 👴🏻 Awang (6️⃣3️⃣ years old) is very friendly & willing to share his journey of owning this Gearbox food business😃👍🏻

Guess what❓⁉️

He is very passionate 💞 & insists only to serve with fresh 👍🏻 gearboxes to his customers daily, none of his gearboxes served are from frozen ❄️ stock

How❓

He actually travels 🚙 daily to the wet markets in Batang Kali, Kuala Kubu, Teluk Intan etc. just to ensure his daily stock of Gearboxes to serve his customers👫👭👬

 

He operates this food business for more than 2️⃣0️⃣ years & each serving is all cooked by just himself, Pak 👴🏻 Awang. So, do be a little patience while waiting for your serving ya

SiennyLovesDrawing 👩🏻 has asked whether he intends to pass on his food business to his kids👨‍👧‍👦, Pak 👴🏻 Awang replied yes✅, 1️⃣ of his younger daughter👨‍👧currently is learning the cooking skills from him😊

Each serving for 4️⃣ to 5️⃣ pax, however he shared that some of his customers will enjoy this whole serving by 1️⃣self without sharing too. Wow‼️

According to Pak 👴🏻 Awang, a big spoonful of this meant for 1️⃣ pax dining 🍽

He explains why he only serves with original flavour i.e. without spicy ❌🌶 because he aims for more families 👪👨‍👩‍👧👨‍👩‍👧‍👦👨‍👩‍👦‍👦👨‍👩‍👧‍👧 to dine in here

So, do bring along your whole family 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 to dine here, including kids 👶🏻👧🏻🧒🏻👦🏻 & senior members 👴🏻👵🏻 ya
