Yeah‼️SiennyLovesDrawing👩🏻 really feeling blessed😇🙏 to be exclusively invited📩📧💌 to be part of the media team👩🏻💻📝for Southern Peace Media Club (SPMC) of Thailand🇹🇭 in Oct😃
Guess what❓⁉️
It’s her 1️⃣st international travel collaboration, bravo on her achievement❗️👏🏻This definitely a money can’t buy recognition to her blogging👩🏻💻📝 passion☺️
Still remembered🤔she departed from KL, Malaysia🇲🇾 at 9️⃣am with comfy bus🚌from Smile Vision Holidays & Khalifakota Travel (whole trip management👍🏻) approximately 8️⃣hours road trip & arrived Betong Boarding Post at 5.15pm (Thai🇹🇭local time 4.15pm).
How did she spent her time during the long journey❓⁉️
Ha…Ha…She slept😴💤comfortably with her hoodie on🙂
Collected her media tag prepared by SPMC (special thank you🙏for all great hospitality throughout this memorable media trip) when she 1️⃣st met the complete media team from Malaysia🇲🇾 & Thailand🇹🇭
This media trip covers 4️⃣major provinces of Southern Thailand 🇹🇭 i.e. Yala, Narathiwat, Songkla & Pattani
SiennyLovesDrawing👩🏻is gonna sharing here about her favourite places visited
The Sea Of Mist @ Iyerweng
Yeah‼️Got a privilege to visit a new tourist spot i.e. The Sea of Mist @ Iyerweng😍
It is located in Than Mali village of subdistrict named Aiyoe Weng of Betong District in Yala Province 😀
Wow‼️ Above sea level of 2,038m on the Gunung Silipat (Microwave Mountain)⛰
Secret sharing with you all that a skywalk🌁will be built to welcome all tourists👫👭👬
Waited for sunrise🌅& enjoyed the nice cooling🌬breeze cum awesome beautiful view of mist🌫 (Ohh…really worth her superb early waking up that morning🤩)
You will definitely snap lots of photosss📸📱, videosss📹🎥, boomerangsss📲, selfiesss 🤳, wefiesss with friends 👫👭👬
Then, enjoyed your breakfast 🍽 with the beautiful mist🌫 view nearby too
A must visit when you visit Southern Thailand 🇹🇭~ Betong district
How to get there❓⁉️
You may either engage a driver🚗🚙 to take Highway No. 410 Betong-Yala to intersection at KM33 & go along road entrance to Than Mali village, then drive up the hill⛰for about 7️⃣km
Or contact Yala Tourism & Sport Office at ☎️📞📱073-213722
There will be a new domestic airport🛬🛫in Betong too, currently still in its construction🏗in progress & estimated will be ready by July 2019😊
The world 🌎 🗺 largest Thai🇹🇭 Post📮❓⁉️ Nope, tallest to be exact
It is located at the Bell 🛎 Tower intersection of Betong. It was built in 1924 before World War II as the communication post for the Thai 🇹🇭 locals, through the radio implanted on top of the box & the below mail slot. At present, a new mailbox📮had been built in a larger size (9️⃣m tall) & is located at the City Convention Hall i.e. Sala Prachakhom & it attracts a large number of tourists who come to visit & snap photos📸
Ha…Ha…It has been erroneously given the title of the “world’s 🗺 🌎 largest” by at least some of the Thai 🇹🇭 locals here. It’s not, however, the “largest”, which was credited in 2012 by the Guinness Book of World Records to the mailbox📮at Ube City at Yamaguchi Prefecture in Japan🇯🇵, due to its capacity of 68.484 cubic meters of letters✉️ & postcards🏞. Accurately, it is the largest mailbox📮 in Thailand 🇹🇭
Oppss….SiennyLovesDrawing👩🏻 doesn’t manage to send a postcard🏞 from here (Sigh…wasted the golden chance though…moreover she loves💗 postcardsss🏞…cry cry😭…)
The clock🕙 tower of Betong District
Mosque🕌 without nails & screws, amazing!!
It is Taloh Manoh Mosque 🕌 aka Masjid Wadil-Husen because being pioneered by Wan Husen Us-Sanavi, the author of the handwritten🖋Al-Quran📖. It located in Bacho District of Narathiwat Province
More than 300 years, it was traditionally built using old building tools e.g. hopea tree🌳 , local timber named Mai Takien with wooden bolts & pins. It consists of 2️⃣ adjacent buildings built in a mixture of local Thai 🇹🇭, Chinese (its top dome is similar to a Chinese pavilion) & Malay architectural styles.
Do enjoy a video clip 📹🎥by Dboy Studio, a media member from this trip😊
SiennyLovesDrawing & her media friends👫👭👬were on a tram 🚋 with the Thai🇹🇭police 👮🏻 escort (She felt like a superb VVIP😜😝) in discovering the city 🌇, mosques 🕌 & its Chinatown ⛩ of Pattani Province
Do enjoy the free🆓 city tour by tram🚋. There are 6️⃣ times a day i.e. 9️⃣am, 🔟am, 1️⃣1️⃣am, 1️⃣pm, 2️⃣pm & 3️⃣pm from the old city wall/ museum. Each takes about 4️⃣5️⃣mins.
Pattani Central Mosque🕌
This is 1️⃣ of the most beautiful mosque🕌 in Thailand🇹🇭 built in 1954 with 9️⃣years of construction.
Guess what❓⁉️
With its big dome in the centre, 4️⃣ surrounding small domes with minarets & a big pond right in front of the mosque, its architecture quite western style & with a similarity to the famous Taj Mahal of India🇮🇳 . Don’t you think so❓🤔
The graveyard of Lim To Khieng’s poor sister❓
Hmm…Who is Lim To Khieng❓⁉️
From SiennyLovesDrawing’s 👩🏻 further reading 📖 after the trip, apparently he is one of the famous foreigner in Southern Thailand🇹🇭with a story though…🤓
It set in a small very kitsch Chinese garden with a sitting area, well looked after
This is 1️⃣ of the popular destinations for Chinese 🇨🇳 & Malaysian 🇲🇾 tourists👍🏻
His sister named Lim Ko Niao was upset😢as her brother, Lim To Khieng didn’t keep his promise to return to China🇨🇳 . Hence, she hung herself on the cashew nut tree🌲 & then being buried here by her brother😔 😞
The Pattani’s Thai🇹🇭 locals built this place as a shrine⛩to commemorate her & carved the tree 🌲where she hung herself in the shape of her figure
SiennyLovesDrawing👩🏻 has paid her respect🙏 during her visiting here
Chaomae Lim Ko Niao Graveyard สุสานเจ้าแม่ลิ้มกอเหนี่ยว Legend has it that Lim Ko Niao, a Chinese girl came to Siam by ship 🚢 to look for Lim To Khiam, her elder brother, who married the Pattani Governor’s daughter & converted to Islam. Unable to keep her promise with her mother in bringing the brother home 🏠, she hung herself on a cashew nut tree 🌳 Her brother buried her here. The people of Pattani built the shrine to commemorate her & carved the tree where she hung herself in the shape of her figure
Later, her icon was built and housed in Leng Chu Kiang Shrine and, as to the tradition, there has been a procession to carry the sculpture of Chao Mae Lim Ko Niao around the city for good luck & fortune 🍀 The festival of Lim Ko Niao Shrine is annually held on the night of the full moon 🌕 of the 3″ lunar month
Lim To Khieng’s half built mosque 🕌❓? (aka Krue Se Mosque)
Guess what❓⁉️
It located right beside his sister’s graveyard
This mosque 🕌 is said to have been built during the reign of King Naresuan the Great (1578 – 1593)
Its most important element i.e. its large & domed roof, however was never completed in its construction. It was reportedly because of a power struggle between the Sultan of Pattani & his brother at the time of construction😮😲
It was also once said it was being cursed by Lim Ko Niao, hence even with many attempts, construction never able to be completed😯😧
Krue Se Mosque มัสยิดกรือเซะ is a building of brick 🧱 & mortar. Some evidence shows that it might be the 1️⃣st mosque in the Malay Peninsular that had such a structure. The building is 15.10m wide, 29.60m long & 6.50m high. Its round-shaped pillars are in European style while its doors & windows are Gothic style architecture with sharp-pointed & round arches
The roof has not been completely finished. The bricks 🧱 used in the construction were from the Ayutthaya period. The mortar was made of grounded shells, honey & egg white. The mosque’s foundation was partially constructed by bricks similar to those from Dhavaravati period. There are lots of myths telling the reason why the mosque’s construction was not completed. Engineering evidence, however, has identified that is because of the lack of skill, competence & right understanding so the building could not support the weight of the round dome then it collapsed
It has been assumed that this mosque was built during the reign of King Naresuan the Great (1578-1593). This mosque has round brick & mortar pillars, which is the Middle Eastern art style. It’s near Chaomae Lim Ko Niao Graveyard
Tanjong Pauh ~ Just for its delicious yummy dried salted fish 🐟
She impressed with the hygience way of producing the dried salted fishes🐟🐟 here, all covered during its drying process under the sunny 🌞☀️day
Don’t miss your chance to visit this fishing 🎣village in Pattani & buy a tail of its famous freshly made Ikan Masin Kurau 🐟(meaning salted fish in Bahasa Melayu)
Have you tried salted fish before🐟❓
Highly recommended by SiennyLovesDrawing👩🏻 as she really enjoyed during the live cooking cum sampling tasting during her visit🍽😋
She was amazed with the big size of a tail of Ikan Masin Kurau🐟

Samila Beach 🏝🏖
Love 💕 💗 the clean beach 🏝 🏖 here
It is a must landmark for the Songkhla Mermaid 🧜♀️ aka Golden Mermaid 🧜♀️ statute & officially named as Nang Nguek Thong, whenever visiting to Songkhla Province
This bronze statue was created by Chirt Buabutr, a former director of Poh Chang School of Arts, Bangkok in 1966 at a cost of 6️⃣0️⃣k Thai baht. It actually followed the example of the famed Little Mermaid 🧜♀️ statute in Copenhagen, Denmark i.e. its city’s symbol since 1913.
She observed that this statute is with flower garlands from the Thai🇹🇭 locals as they believe their prayers🙏to her were answered. It was once reported in Thailand news 🇹🇭🗞📰that it was never intended for prayers😯
Would like to share a live recording📹🎥 with SiennyLovesDrawing’s 👩🏻 short interview at NBT Yala, a Thai 🇹🇭TV channel (Note: In Bahasa Melayu, without English subtitles)
