Eat

Gourmet Safari KL, http://gourmetsafarikl.com/

Foodie lovers will enjoy gourmet food, precious wine, whiskies & cocktails (mocktails) to celebrate the intimacy of socialising at the dinner table by guided tour to 6 F&B ourlets owned by Werners Group, https://wernersgroup.com/ at Changkat Bukit Bintang KL.

Just to take note when you are having your Muslim relatives or friends visiting to KL, this is because of serving alcoholic beverages, 5 of their outlets are Muslim friendly i.e. no pork served. And one of them is non-halal named El Cerdo (item 1).

1. El Cerdo, http://elcerdokl.com/ 🐖🐷

El Cerdo means pork in Spanish. It is a non-halal restaurant which specialises in home-cooked pork flavours from all over the world like Europe, the Caribbean & Mexico. This is one of the highly popular restaurant on Changkat Bukit Bintang KL for its perfected pork cooking that took 9 years in the making. The Chef Werner Kuhn has spent days & nights nurturing his baby & now has grown to become the best porky pork restaurant KL has to offer.

SiennyLovesDrawing has enjoyed the grilled pork shoulder steak so much! It is marinated for 48 hours in pprika, herbs, onions, garlic & served with Jalapeno & smoked paprika sauce.

She is planning to return to El Cerdo for the famous “Cochinillo Al Estilo Segoviano” which a roasted suckling pig served on a chopping board (available in whole/ half piglet). She was told that it is a tradition to knock the serving board for 3 times with a plate, then to chop the pig into 3 parts. After that, to make a wish & break the plate itslef into a wooden pail for good luck! This is an interesting tradition that Sienn yLovesDrawing got attracted to it & wanna be back to El Cerdo to experience it herself 😁

So, this definitely a must visit for your non-Muslims relatives or friends to enjoy a super delicious porky ride in KL!

 2. Opium KL, https://opiumkl.com/

One of the best asian restaurant in KL which established on 12th July 2014 to serve Asian delights & oriental cuisine with a twist. Its slogan ~ “Eat Drink Man Woman” ~ takes a more subtle approach to distinguish Opium KL as the must visit places to unwind oneself. Its concept is rounded off by featuring their creative cocktail bar that takes on classic recipes and transforming them into our own creations.

SiennyLovesDrawing really loves their decoration & dining in ambience apart from delicious food served. That’s for sure! 😍

3. Dining In The Dark KL, http://dininginthedarkkl.com/

SiennyLovesDrawing has enjoyed this the most! It was really an awesome 1st dining in complete darkness! She can’t even see her own fingers while dining! 😅

This is a restaurant in total darkness. Yes! A completely new sensory experience & the very first of its kind in Malaysia ~ DINING in the DARK KL!

We are not suppose to bring in anything with us for this dining. We will be provided a locker to keep all your personal belonging, including phone before we enter to dining area. So, do let your phone 📱to enjoy its darkness off hours in the locker too while you enjoy yours  😆

Then, you will be guided by a “Darkness Expert”, we just have to relax, trust & enjoy (also wondering) the food served. The Darkness Experts whom will be serving you are consists of visually impaired & blind persons who lead their daily life without or with minimal light.

Special thank you to Mr. Rabha, Darkness Expert who guided SiennyLovesDrawing throughout her 1st awesome dining in complete darkness! 🙂

So, no photos to share about it. Instead SiennyLovesDrawing did a quick sketch of her surprise menu served based on her sensory memory in complete darkness before her sleep that night in Swiss Garden Residence Suites 🤗

The surprise menu changes frequently based on the season of the ingredients used as well as their freshness. We can check on their menu status by informing our last date of visit, just in case we may return to it often with a different group of relatives or friends. All can be pre-arranged during our reservation with the friendly & helpful staff there 👍🏻

.

4. The Steakhouse KL, http://steakhousekl.com/

This is a 40-seater steak joint along Changkat Bukit Bintang & adjacent to The Whisky Bar KL. The beef is imported from Australia & we can choose between the aged Black Angus & Grain Fed. All steaks orders are accompanied with your choice of sauce (béarnaise, black pepper, red wine etc.), your preferred style of potatoes (baked, mashed, wedges etc.), grilled vegetables, tomato salsa & onion rings. All cuts are grilled over charcoal, a style popularised by the Argentinians.

SiennyLovesDrawing strongly recommended to have your steak medium rare with red wine  🍷sauce! Unforgettable juicy steak dining here! 😋

5. The Black Forest KL

This is an authentic German food hang-out is almost a hidden treasure among the crowded restaurants & music-blasting bars in Changkat Bukit Bintang, KL.

Guten Appetit! Pros!

After so meaty meals during this safari, SiennyLovesDrawing & friends were here to enjoy a digestive, named Altes Schwarzwalder Kirschwasser (AKA Cherry Schnapps). It supposed to drink a shot at once, non-stop. However, due to its 50% alcohol contain, SiennyLovesDrawing dare not, and just some sips to enjoy it. The Sky Garden for sunset viewing

SiennyLovesDrawing loves to enjoy sunset view since young.

Why?

Because it is beautiful, and she believes a beautiful sunset signifies an end to a beautiful day. Then, looking forward to a next beginning.

The panorama shot of the KL view snapped from the Sky Garden

Oasia Suites KL

http://www.stayfareast.com/en/hotels/oasia-suites-kuala-lumpur

This is a serviced residence style hotel with its concept of

“When the workday is done, guests can look forward to returning to the hotel to refresh, refuel & recharge while taking in the lush views of the adjacent KL Forest Eco Park. As the city’s only surviving primarily tropical rianforest, the park is a welcome respite from the cosmopolitan metropolis that surrounds it, not unlike what Oasia Suites KL promises to be to those who seek to Journey Well. “

SiennyLovesDrawing loves their swimming pool view of Malaysia KL Tower

The one-bedroom premier room is most preferred among business & leisure guests.

Their modern bathroom design offers a nice view too.

SiennyLovesDrawing recommends to opt for a higher level during your stay (Level 37 is the highest level of this hotel), do off the bathroom lighting & then romatically enjoy your shower with the city lighting.

It would be a cool bathing experience though.
