It is only through collaboration that we can make this world a safer place for our children 👶🏻👧🏻🧒🏻👦🏻🧑🏻” as shared by Ms. Daisy Ng 👩🏻‍🏫, the Chief Education Officer of Trinity Kids Malaysia

.

“What I realised was that parents had so many varied questions about keeping their children 👶🏻👧🏻🧒🏻👦🏻🧑🏻 safe, well & happy during these trying times; but they don’t necessarily have the answers. That is why we started this conversation series ~ To bring parents together to share knowledge & experiences in areas like managing routines & adapting to our children’s needs.added Ms. Daisy 👩🏻‍🏫

Moderator ~ Ms. Daphne Iking, Professional Emcee & TV Personality 🙋🏻‍♀️

Ms. Daphne 🙋🏻‍♀️ has moderated this live conversation 👩🏻‍💻 with aims to put all minds at ease & answer the pressing questions ❓⁉️ surrounding kids’ safety & wellbeing during this pandemic with 3 Cs to avoid ie. Crowded places, Closed contact & Confined spaces

She 🙋🏻‍♀️ has jokingly shared that she was once being discriminated that she is contracting with COVID19 as she is a Sabahan, but she wasn’t back to Sabah at all @@

Guest ~ Ms. Wong Chui Ling, TV/Radio Producer, Speaker & Host👩🏻‍💼

She 👩🏻‍💼 has shared some of her insights on how to manage some social situations in public she has personally faced as a celebrity without offending others & you can come home safely to your children without worries, including being out at a public event, someone approaches you for a photo opportunity, still go for the photo 📸 opportunity safely by standing apart etc.

She 👩🏻‍💼 told that not practical for her to wear a mask to speak her speech on stage as she has kept a distance with her audiences, she speaks without her mask on stage. She told that she will be responsible to announce on her social media if she is contracting with COVID19

She 👩🏻‍💼 has shared that eyes contact/ body language to indirectly inform she is not comfortable with certain social activities eg. shake hands, salam, hugs etc. & certain body contact. .

“I organised a birthday party for my child 👦🏻🧑🏻 a few months back. It was a smaller scale celebration & I was very particular about who I invited to the party. But if anyone asks whether they can organise a party during this time, I would advise against it.shared by Chui Ling 👩🏻‍💼

She 👩🏻‍💼 has been very creative by educating her kids by animated the“invisible” COVID19 virus🦠with super power, also she pointed out that moderation is key & a common ground among the family members in taking care the children to coexist with current situation eg. Still sending them to school etc. as unable to avoid things 100% to be safe

Guest ~ Dr. Ng Yi-Ki, Paediatrician of Baby & Beyond Clinic 👩🏻‍⚕️

It gets increasingly blurry when it comes to managing the risk of exposure on your child 👶🏻👧🏻🧒🏻👦🏻🧑🏻 when deciding between various weekend activities during this RMCO. As we all aware that a child’s development & personal growth requires interaction with peers through physical & social activities. However, not all activities are weighed equally in terms of the risk of exposure

She 👩🏻‍⚕️ has shared how to pit these activities against guidelines set by the Ministry of Health (MoH) to help all finding the clarity in terms of managing your child 👶🏻👧🏻🧒🏻👦🏻🧑🏻’s exposure in various environments through the lens of a paediatrician

She 👩🏻‍⚕️ has further clarified that all must be clear with the facts 1st before taking any safety measurements on kids 👶🏻👧🏻🧒🏻👦🏻🧑🏻, be wise from being influenced by any wrong information shared whether on social medias/ WhatsApp messages etc. Yes, managed your risks & do not panic

.

The risk of transmission among children is at least 50% lower than adults. Let us not be too obsessive to the point where we scold our kids 👶🏻👧🏻🧒🏻👦🏻🧑🏻 if they touch their eyes or if they do not wear their masks. What we can do as parents is to teach them to be mindful & wash their hands constantly.” explained by Dr. Ng 👩🏻‍⚕️

Always educate & explain nicelyto kids 👶🏻👧🏻🧒🏻👦🏻🧑🏻 above 5 years old about what COVID19 & its impacts, then teach them to be more mindful whenever being out, how to wash hands etc. Those below 5 yrs old, much more difficult to educate the messaging as well as to get them wear the disposable masks, instead she got her toodlers to wear cloth masks & guide them to wash hand

She 👩🏻‍⚕️ has reassured & clarified a Qs received from a pregnant mum that wearing mask will still provide enough oxygen to mum for her baby development, so must wear mask during pregnancy

Guest ~ Ms. Daisy Ng, Founder & CEO of Trinity Kids Malaysia👩🏻‍🏫

She 👩🏻‍🏫 has shared the tips on optimising child’s surroundings eg. sanitising own personal space when being out so that they can continue to thrive during this worrying situation. In particularly she mentioned to learn from HK & Taiwan where practising a mandate mask wearing among the communities when unwell & to lower the risk of an individual from contracting any airborne infectious germs

As parents, it’s important to weight the exposure risk of being an uncontrollable spaces eg. playground/ park vs home, school etc.

“It boils down to trust towards the schools that your children attend. Are they doing the right thing & taking the right measures? The government has given clear guidelines for schools to create a safe environment for children 👶🏻👧🏻🧒🏻👦🏻🧑🏻 clarified by Ms. Daisy 👩🏻‍🏫

.

Also she 👩🏻‍🏫 has shared how herself & her team are continuously working & adapting behind the scenes to create a safe controlled space for fun learning @ school 🏫 as well as how to adopt these best practices as she has recommended at home or when you are out in public to protect your children 👶🏻👧🏻🧒🏻👦🏻🧑🏻

Her school team is practising strict monitoring who is in/ out the school daily, segregating the children 👶🏻👧🏻🧒🏻👦🏻🧑🏻, controlled environment to reduce risk exposure, zoom sessions with parents to have everyone on the same page on SOP design together, sanitising solutions, body temperature machine with AI recognition for contactless entry etc. Also being responsible to share an emergency response to all parents to strike a balance of being transparency vs the privacy protection of an infected parent

Not just that, herself & team also design & operate digital school for the kids 👶🏻👧🏻🧒🏻👦🏻🧑🏻
