Fasting Experience & Ramadhan Buffet @ Hilton KL

In this blogging 👩🏻‍💻📝, SiennyLovesDrawing 👩🏻 would like to share her recent 2️⃣-day personal fasting experiences with her non-Muslims friends 👫👭👬 & a break fast feast 🍽🍴at Hilton KL 🏢 Ramadhan 💚 buffet 🍽🍴😋

Why this fasting❓⁉️

Hmm…All unplanned, it just happened with a sudden thought‼️😆

She was having a lunch 🍽🍴catch up 🗣👥👤👥 recently with some of her old friends👭👭👭, then were chit chatting 🗣👥👥👥 about the Ramadhan 💚 month 😀

Suddenly she popped a question ❓”Anyone of you have tried fasting in any ways❓⁉️”

1️⃣ of her friend 🙋🏻‍♀️ said “Yes ✅ , she has tried & it’s doable🙂”

Another of her friend 🙋🏻‍♀️ said “I did ✅ a juice🥤🍹detox fasting before”

Quite a fun & juicy conversation 🗣👥👥👥 around the fasting topic that afternoon 🔆 (all just because of her question❓asked😉)

Guess what❓⁉️

At the end of the lunch🍽🍴, all agreed for a 2️⃣-day fasting on 28 May & 31 May to experiencing it, particularly for those 1️⃣st timer like SiennyLovesDrawing 👩🏻

Then, all will meet up for a Ramadhan 💚 buffet dinner 🍽🍴to break fast together gather 😋🤤Yeah‼️😃

Amazing‼️ Everyone 👭👭👭 in‼️✅ Wow‼️😲

Why Hilton KL🏢❓⁉️

Just because we need a convenience & LRT 🚇 accessible hotel 🏢 for a great feast 🍽🍴😋🤤Ha…Ha…🤣😆

Hmm…Missed ❌ the flash deal 💱 though…😌

There were 3️⃣ fasting options for choice as discussed & agreed ✅ from the lunch 🍽🍴

Option 1️⃣: Water 💦💧 fasting/ water 💦💧 cleanse ~ Go without ❌ food🍽🍴, but ✅💦💧plain water is permissible. In general, tea 🍃🍵 & black coffee ☕️ may be consumed

Option 2️⃣: Half day fasting (at least 4️⃣ hours) ~ Go without food ❌🍽🍴& plain water ❌💦💧

Option 3️⃣: Full fast ❌🍽🍴💦💧(with an option to sip some water ✅💦 if really can’t go on)

So, what’s fasting❓⁉️

In layman explanation, it means to abstain from food & water ❌🍽🍴💦💧 for a specific time frame🕕 In the past, more for spiritual religious fasting especially annual Ramadhan 💚 month for Muslims 🕌

However, as time passed, fasting is now evolving as a change of diet 🍽🍴pattern for many health conscious practitioners ☺️

How to fast❓⁉️

1️⃣st, select a type of fast you would like to experience
2️⃣nd, set some goals to achieve
3️⃣rd, plan your food menu
Lastly, observe & understand your body during the fasting

After some research reading 📖 , she found out some interesting facts about fasting
– You can exercise 🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♂️🏊🏻‍♀️🏊🏻‍♂️🚴🏻‍♀️🚴‍♂️ while fasting
–  Fasting as an excellent 👍🏻 tool for weight loss
– Fasting promotes the secretion of human growth hormone (HGH)
– Fasting is great for normalizing insulin sensitivity
– Fasting may slow down the aging process

She was having some questions ❓❓/ concerns during her 1️⃣st fasting
– How to manage bad breath (if any)❓⁉️
– How about those suffering gastric problem❓⁉️
– What’s the best option for breakfast/ meal 🍽🍴before fasting❓⁉️
– Smoking 🚬allowed✅❓⁉️

Hmm…Gonna checking around with her Muslims 🕌 friends👫👭👬 do stay tune & gonna update again here ya

SiennyLovesDrawing 👩🏻 has went for Option 1️⃣ for her 2️⃣-day 1️⃣st fasting experience. Initially, she wanted to try the Option 3️⃣ i.e. full fast❌🍽🍴with sips of water 💦💧However, from her observation, her body needs water 💦💧especially her art 🎨🖌 teaching 👩🏻‍🏫 career required lots of mouth 👄 & throat exercise daily 🗣👥👥👥 Hence, she didn’t force her body & then changed to Option 1️⃣ i.e. water 💦💧fasting ✅

Day1️⃣ she didn’t plan her food 🍽🍴menu well enough. She was just having 4️⃣ slices of whole gains bread 🍞 & a glass of oat with Anlene powdered milk 🥛 Yeah‼️ That’s all as her Sahur equivalent meal 😲🤪

Her friend asked “So, your dinner Day 1️⃣ extremely delicious😋❓⁉️”

She doesn’t feel that way, it was just a mixed rice 🍛 packed by her parents 👴🏻👵🏻 & frankly just a normal meal with normal taste as usual 😊

She missed most during her fasting ~ her morning🔅coffee ☕️

Day 2️⃣ much easy going ✅ for her, perhaps she has adjusting well from Day 1️⃣ She planned a better breakfast 🍽☕️ too. She was having her favourite ❤️ breakfast choice i.e. cream crackers with chocolate 🍫 jam & a glass of oat with Anlene powdered milk 🥛 Honestly, the crackers served much better as bread 🍞 (compared to Day 1️⃣) to keep her full though ✌🏻👍🏻

Generally, she was fine during the fasting, except Day 1️⃣ she observed her body can’t go ❌without water 💦💧constantly every 2️⃣ hours. It means she does drink lots of water 💦💧daily ya

Not ❌ really exhausted/ tired 😓😑 throughout/ even when the fasting ends in the evening 🏙

Hmm…She found herself tough in certain timing aka slight craving for foods 🍽🍴due to her meals & snacking breaks at 10am, 12.30pm, 3pm, 7.30pm etc.😅😂🤣

Yeah‼️ A nice 2️⃣-day fasting experience completed. Her friends & herself 👩🏻👭👭👭really enjoyed the Jom Makan 💚 Kenduri-Kendara feast 🍽🍴at Vasco’s in Hilton KL🏢 The wide varieties of local dishes from almost all states in West Malaysia 🇲🇾 are served. A great 👍🏻 choice made✌🏻😃
