Lempeng is the popular Malaysian pancake 🥞 that works as an anytime meal or snack. Pair it with this quick & easy, piquant sardine & baked beans curry for a protein packed meal

Heat oil in a pan, add chopped onion, minced garlic & if you like it spicy, add some finely sliced green chilies into the pan. Sauté until fragrant. Stir in a pack of Ayam Brand™ Chopped Tomatoes 🍅 & some chili paste, cook a while on low heat. Add in the contents of 1️⃣ can of Ayam Brand™ Sardines 🐟 in Tomato 🍅 Sauce & 1️⃣ can of Ayam Brand™ Baked Beans 🟠 Allow to heat through, stirring occasionally until well combined. Add salt🧂 & pepper to taste

Prep time: 10 mins, cook time: 15 mins, serves: 4 pax

Ingredients:

  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 2 tbsp chopped onion
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 tbsp chopped big green chillies
  • 1 tbsp chili paste
  • 1 can Ayam Brand™ Sardine 300g 🐟
  • 1 pack Ayam Brand™ Chopped Tomatoes 🍅
  • 1 can Ayam Brand™ Baked Beans 320g 🟠

Method:

  1. Heat the oil in a pan, add chopped onion, minced garlic & few green chili in a pan. Stir until fragrant
  2. Stir in the Ayam Brand™ Chopped Tomatoes 🍅 & chilli paste, cook a while in a low heat until oil splits
  3. Pour in Ayam Brand™ Sardine 🐟 & Ayam Brand™ Baked Beans 🟠 Give a stir occasionally until well combined
  4. Before turning off the heat, you can add salt 🧂for the taste. This dish goes well with lempeng & the leftovers could be reheat to consume for dinner

Mini Jacket Potatoes with Baked Beans (Suitable for Vegetarians)

Let’s make your own jacket potatoes 🥔🥔 at home 🏡 as it’s easy to prepare, although they do take some time to bake

Heat your oven to 180°C. Wash 200g of baby potatoes (regular potatoes 🥔🥔 will work, remember to give them a good scrub & more time in the oven). Pat dry & prick all over with a fork. Coat with olive oil & toss with salt. Arrange the potatoes on a baking sheet in a single layer & bake for 40 mins. Cool for 10 mins. Cut a tiny cross into the top of each potato 🥔, then lightly pinch the base to create an opening

Top each potato  🥔 with a teaspoon of Ayam Brand™ Baked Beans 🟠, a dash of chili flakes & a sprinkling of chopped spring onion. To add tanginess, finish with a squeeze of lemon 🍋 juice. Serve immediately

As a cheese lover, SiennyLovesDrawing 👩🏻 is gonna use Ayam Brand™ Baked Beans Cheese 🧀🟠 in this recipe, yeah‼️ She wanna enjoy a cheesy jacket potatoes 🧀🥔😋👍🏻

Ingredients:

  • 200g baby potatoes
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1  tsp chili flakes
  • 1  tbsp olive oil
  • 2  tbsp lemon juice
  • 1  can Ayam Brand™ Baked Beans 425g 🟠

Method:

  1. Heat oven to 180°C. Prick the baby potatoes with a fork, coat with the olive oil, then toss with salt 🧂
  2. Arrange the baby potatoes on a baking sheet & place in the oven for approximately 40 mins. Then, allow the baby potatoes to cool for 10 mins
  3. Cut a tiny cross into the top of each & slightly pinch the bases to open a little. Now, top with a teaspoon of Ayam Brand™ Baked Beans 🟠 to each, a little chili flakes & a sprinkling of spring onions
  4. To add tanginess, you can squeeze some lemon 🍋 juice on top & serve immediately
  5. Replacing chili flakes with ground black pepper is a fantastic alternative as it reduces ⬇️ heat/spiciness

Spaghetti 🍝 with Baked Beans Sauce (Suitable for Vegetarians)

Here’s an easy dinner or lunch pasta meal using baked beans instead of ready-made pasta sauce

Heat some oil in a pan. Add minced garlic & onion, fry until fragrant. Add half a can of Ayam Brand™ Tomato Puree 🍅 & ground pepper, stirring for 2 mins. Next add 2 cans of Ayam Brand™ Baked Beans 🟠, heat through & stir until well combined. Use an immersion blender to blend into a paste. No immersion blender❓⁉️ Use the back of a ladle to mash or pour the sauce into a blender to whiz

While cooking the sauce, prepare the pasta according to the instruction on the pack. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water for the sauce

Add the cooked pasta into the blended sauce. Combine well, adding some pasta water until the sauce reaches the consistency that you prefer

To serve, garnish with chopped parsley. You may replace Ayam Brand™ Baked Beans 🟠 with Ayam Brand™ Baked Beans Cheese 🧀🟠 if your kids prefer a creamier texture & cheesier tasting pasta 🍝

Ingredients:

  • 450g spaghetti
  • 25g of fresh parsley
  • 1 liter  water
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 2 tbsp chopped onion
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 tbsp ground pepper
  • 1 can Ayam Brand™ Tomato Puree 160g 🍅
  • 1 can Ayam Brand™ Baked Beans 425g 🟠

Method:

  1. Add spaghetti  to a pot of well salted boiling water. Once you have reached  al dente, drain off the water & set aside
  2. Now, heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add minced onion & garlic, stir occasionally for 5 mins
  3. Pour half can Ayam Brand™ Tomato Puree 🍅, ground pepper & a whole can of Ayam Brand™ Baked Beans 🟠 which blend into paste
  4. You can add the cooked spaghetti with half a cup of the salted pasta water. Stir until well combined & let it simmer for another 5 mins until the spaghetti  is softened
  5. A minute before the end of the cooking time, garnish with fresh parsley. You may replace Ayam Brand™ Baked Beans 🟠 with Ayam Brand™ Baked Beans Cheese 🧀🟠 if your kids prefer a creamier texture & cheesier tasting pasta 🧀🟠🍝

Baked Beans Patties (Suitable for Vegetarians)

This dish takes it inspiration from South Indian vadai & Middle Eastern falafel. Turn it into a sandwich or wrap, akin to a falafel sandwich, serve as a side dish to any main meal or have it as a snack

Stir-fry finely chopped carrots, green chilies & Ayam Brand™ Whole Kernel Corn 🌽 with salt until softened. In a big bowl, add in softened carrots, corn, green chilies & drained Ayam Brand™ Baked Beans Light which has 48% less sugar. Then, mash all the ingredients together completely. Add some corn flour to this mixture to create a workable dough. Add some finely minced ginger, onion & coriander leaves to the mixture & mix well using your fingers. Season with salt & chili powder to taste

Shape into medium-sized patties. Coat patties in breadcrumbs & arrange on a plate. Heat oil in a shallow frying pan. Fry on 1 side until crispy, then flip & crisp up the other side. Fry in batches & do not overcrowd the pan

  • 25g  coriander leaves
  • 3 tbsp corn flour
  • 1 tbsp minced ginger
  • 2 tbsp chopped onion
  • 3 tbsp chopped big green chillies
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 can Ayam Brand™ Whole Kernel Corn 425g 🌽
  • 2 cans Ayam Brand™ Baked Beans Light 425g

Method:

  1. Stir-fry finely chopped carrots, green chillies & Ayam Brand™ Whole Kernel Corn with salt until soften
  2. In a big bowl 🥣, add in softened carrots, corn, green chilies & drained Ayam Brand™ Baked Beans Light which has 48% less sugar. Then, mash all the ingredients together completely
  3. Add some corn flour to this mixture to create a workable dough. Add some finely minced ginger, onion & coriander leaves to the mixture & mix well using your fingers 🤌 Season with salt 🧂& chili powder to taste

  5. Gently shape the patties to the medium bite-size. Coat the patties in breadcrumbs & arrange them on a plate 🍽️
  6. Heat oil in shallow frying pan. Pan fry the patties in batches till they crisp on both sides
  7. This dish could be served with chilli sauce & the leftovers can be fridged & reheat for next day lunchbox

  3. I must admit I’ve never liked baked beans but my dad eats them all the time – these sound like fab recipes. Shows how versatile baked beans can be other than just having them on toast. The antioxidant properties and iron alone make it worthwhile having them in the cupboard as a staple if you enjoy them.
