Amabie is a legendary Japanese spirit ~ A mermaid ๐Ÿงœโ€โ™€๏ธ or merman ๐Ÿงœโ€โ™‚๏ธ creature with fishy scales, long hair, 3๏ธโƒฃ fin-like legs & a beak emerged from the sea ๐ŸŒŠ ~ believed to predict either a good harvest or a pandemic

It is said that the youkai Amabie appeared in 1846 at the end of the Edo period (1603-1868), appeared in a shining figure from the sea ๐ŸŒŠ He said that he disappeared into the sea again, leaving behind the words ๐Ÿ˜‰
