Yeah‼️ SiennyLovesDrawing 👩🏻 had a short vacation 🛫 recently to Phatthalung พัทลุง of Southern Thailand 🇹🇭 It’s just approximately 2️⃣ hours road journey 🚌🚍 from Hatyai 🇹🇭

So, what’s the exciting places 📍📍 in Phatthalung❓⁉️

Here you go, she is gonna sharing 👩🏻‍💻📝 about the 6️⃣ must-do experiences 👍🏻👆🏻from her recent travel journey 🎒🕶🧢👟

1. Canoeing Rafting @ Longkang Chowdaw

Amazing colourful 💚💜💗 canoeing 🚣🏻‍♀️🚣🏻‍♂️ rafting 💦💧 with green nature 💚🌱🌿🌳 surroundings at both sides of the river 💦💧~ Nan Mot Daeng, Pah Phayom district, Phatthalung province. The river water 💦💧just so cooling & crystal 💎 clear which SiennyLovesDrawing 👩🏻 has observed fishes 🐟🐟 & seaweeds 🌿🌿 from above the water 💦💧during her canoeing journey 🚣🏻‍♀️😍

Hmm…Nan Mot Daeng❓⁉️ What it means❓⁉️

She has asked the local people 🇹🇭👫👬👭 & was explained that in local Thai dialect

• “Nan” means “Kaeng” i.e. rapids
• “Mot Daeng” means red ants 🐜

According to the local Thai people 🇹🇭👫👭👬 here, Nan Mot Daeng is a never-ending source for fishes 🐟🐟 Once they got the fish 🎣, they would cut the head & tail of the fish 🐟 Then, the smell of the fish 🐟 will attract numerous red ants 🐜 to feast on it 🐟 In this connection, the origin of the name “Nan Mot Daeng” 😀

The rafting 💦💧distance of approximately 6️⃣km i.e. 2️⃣hours in total. She has enjoyed with friends 👫👭👬 the canoeing 🚣🏻‍♀️🚣🏻‍♂️ along the narrow stream through about 4️⃣0️⃣rapids with the difficulty between Levels 1️⃣ to 3️⃣ Not to worry as she was without great canoeing 🚣🏻‍♀️ skill & yet she really had great fun 👍🏻😃 Really highly recommended 👆🏻 & not to be missed ya 🤩😎

At some strong currents flowing 💦💧 if the canoes were 🚣🏻‍♀️🚣🏻‍♂️ being flipped upside-down ↕️🔃🔄 are considered normal, yes ✅ , it forms part of the fun 🤣😆

Guess what❓⁉️

In the middle of the river 💦💧, you may stop 🛑✋ by for resting at a local 7-11 stall 😀 She has enjoyed a local berries 🍒🍒

You may enjoy canoeing 🚣🏻‍♀️🚣🏻‍♂️ rafting here all year long, no specific season, however if raining 🌧☔️ season, the water 💦💧 level will be higher & certain rapids would be rougher to enjoy the excitement 🤣😆

2. Sunrise 🌅 @ Sripakpra Resort Thalenoi 🏡🏡

Definitely worth✌🏻an early wake up 🌄 & travel to here waiting for the sunrise 🌅 moment

A peaceful beautiful morning 🔅🔆 to enjoy the Thai 🇹🇭 style porridge breakfast 🍳🥣☕️ served here

The resort staff 🙋🏽‍♂️may demonstrate to you & its guests 👫👭👬 on how this Thai 🇹🇭 traditional huge net fishing 🎣🐟 named “Yok Yor” aka Lift net is working, do feel free 🆓 to request & then experience it. For sure, you will learn more about the traditional Thai 🇹🇭 fishermen 👬🎣🐟 lifestyle 😉

You may opt to stay 🛌🚿🚽 here for its quiet peaceful & beautiful 😍🤩 surrounding, however she 👩🏻 has yet to & hence unable to share her stay experience ☺️ Perhaps her next visit to Phatthalung then ✌🏻

3. Boat Ride 🛶 @ Thale Noi Waterfowl Park 🌸

Thale Noi is the largest waterfowl reserve in Thailand 🇹🇭 & under the care responsibility by the Royal Forestry Department of Thailand 🇹🇭 It covers 450 sqkm which consists of 94% land 🏞 & the remaining sea water area 💦💧 The sea 🌊 is 5️⃣km wide & 6️⃣km long with an average depth of 1.2 m, all covered with assorted flora e.g. lotus, bulrush, reed & grass used for thatching 💐🌸🌿🌱 There are more than 187 species of waterfowls 🌸🌸, migratory & indigenous birds 🦅🐦 that make their home at Thale Noi

The best 👍🏻 time to study flora & fauna here would be from Oct to March when there is an abundance of birds 🦅🐦 & pink lotus 🌸🌸 in full bloom 😍 cover the reserve. You have to visit the villages & observe the reed mat hand 👐🏻 making etc. Do shopping 🛒 for souvenirs 🎁🛍 The pricing 💱 absolutely reasonable 🆗

There is a careful control of eco-tourism in Thale Noi in order to minimize ⬇️ impact on the environment because it’s the 1️⃣st world 🗺 🌍 ramsar aka wetland site in Thailand 🇹🇭 It aims to preserve the sustainable ecology 💚🔄 as well as 1️⃣ of the most important nature study centres 💚

All tourists 👭👬👫 can take a boat ride 🛶 from its pier ⚓️ & then go on 2️⃣ routes;

4. Boat Cruising 🛶 in Tham Nam Yen Cave 🏞, Khao Chaison เขาชัยสน 

A new 🆕 tourist destination 📍 at Khao Chaison & was told it opens for tourists 👬👭👫 since 2️⃣ years ago

This cave 🏞 visit must use a boat 🛶 for 4️⃣ pax each as the tourists 👫👬👭 need to lying down on the boat 🛶 during the cave 🏞 visit due to the narrow cave space at certain parts within the cave ☺️

There are many fruit bats 🦇🦇 inside this cave, not to worry as the bats do not disturb the tourists 👭👬👫 from her recent cave exploration journey 👍🏻😃

A must visit to enjoy this beautiful natural cave 🏞 Boat 🛶 & cave admission fees 🎟 are required. You may provide tipping 💰 for the boat guides 🛶🙋🏽‍♂️🙋🏽‍♂️ for their 👍🏻 boat skills for your safe narrow cave visiting

Hmm…During her visit, she noted that the boat guides 🛶🙋🏽‍♂️🙋🏽‍♂️ here only speaking a little English, in fact very limited. Hence, suggest foreign tourists to have a Thai & English speaking tour guide 👮🏻‍♀️👮🏻‍♂️ to accompany your cave 🏞 visit, then you will get the tour explanation clearly & learn better about this beautiful 😍🤩 cave 🏞 from the Thai-English translation

5. Paddy Field 🌿🌱 Visit @ Napokae

Do drop by here to learn more the traditional lifestyle of Thai 🇹🇭 farmers 👩🏻‍🌾👨🏻‍🌾 in Phatthalung

It’s surrounding with lots of natural wood🚪& bamboo 🎍🎋huts i.e. mini paddy museum 🏛 with lots of traditional farming tools, souvenir shops 🛒🛍🎁, cafe ☕️🥤🍹etc.

You may spot some scarecrows 👾 within the green 💚 paddy field 🌿🌱 as the farmers 👩🏻‍🌾👨🏻‍🌾 use them to scare & chase away the crows 🦅🦉🐦 for not eating their paddy plants 🌿🌱 In a way to protect & ensure successful rice 🍚 harvesting

6. Phatthalung Governors Residence

It was declared 📌📜 to be national historical site 📍in 1983 by The Fine Arts Department 🇹🇭

Originally, it was a government old palace 🏛🤴🏻named Wang Kao in Thai 🇹🇭 language, 3️⃣ adjoining Thai houses, built in the time of Phraya Phatthalung i.e. Noi Chantharotchanawong in Thai language when he was the Provincial Governor. This palace 🏛🤴🏻 then became a property of Mrs. Praphai Mutamara, the daughter of Luang Si Worachat 👸🏻

A new 🆕 palace 🏛🤴🏻named Wang Mai in Thai 🇹🇭 language was built in 1889 by Phraya Aphaiborirakchakrawichitphiphitphakdi i.e. Net Chantharotchanawong, the son of Phraya Phatthalung. The Chantharotchanawong family has then donated this palace 🏛🤴🏻to the Thai 🇹🇭 Government
