Tai Saek Ethic Village Visit @ Nakhon Phanom 🇹🇭

Yeah‼As promised from SiennyLovesDrawing 👩🏻’s earlier blogging 👩🏻‍💻📝about her media attendance to Mekong Tourism Forum (MTF) 2018, she is now gonna sharing about her eco & community tourism visit to 1️⃣of the ethnic villages in Nakhon Phanom province, Thailand 🇹🇭 ~ Tai Saek Village ✌🏻😁

She was at Tai Saek Village, which formed part of the MTF2018’s agenda & relating to Eco Tourism. Still remembered her beautiful 😍 #OOTD 👚 shared earlier❓⁉🤗

It’s limited-edition 💯% handmade top 👚by the local Tai Saek village people 👭👬👫, she really love it very much 💗😍  & proud to wearing it

Tai Saek village (At Samat village) is located 4️⃣️km to the town of Nakhon Phanom, the famous Paya Sri Satta Nakarat ⛩🐉🐲 & very near to the ️3️⃣rd Thai🇹🇭-Laos🇹🇭 friendship bridge🌉too. At the end of the village visit, some of her friends 👭👬👫actually took a bicycle 🚲ride from the village to the bridge 🌉 SiennyLovesDrawing enjoyed her chat to mingle & connect with the local village people & didn’t join in the bicycle ride

Wow‼ She still recalled the unforgettable welcoming cum blessing 😇 ceremony hosted by the elderly village people. She has paid her respect 🙏🏻 to the village ancestor during this welcoming blessing ceremony 😇 with the rest of the participants

She wasn’t really understand as the blessing 😇 ceremony was conducted in local ethnic language. She was told by the tour guide that it’s a blessing for great health, wealth & fortune in life 🤗☺ Thank you so much , she felt warm hearted ❤️

Hmm…She has received 2️⃣️ eggs🥚🥚 & a banana 🍌 from this blessing 😇 ceremony for great fortune ahead 🍀🍀 for SiennyLovesDrawing 👩🏻, see her happy face, Ha…Ha…😃😁

Yeah!! She 👩🏻 is blessed to enjoy the ‘Pestle/ Stick Dance” aka “Saek-Ten-Saak “ which performed by the Tai Saek ethnic group. It’s performed annually on the Tai Saek village ancestor worship day i.e. On the 2⃣nd day of waxing moon of the 3️⃣rd lunar month to please the spirit

She was told that if this dance requires to be performed for other timing/ period, the village spiritual leader will have to ask for permission by offering a pig’s head, 2⃣️0️⃣️️-Thai baht cash 💰 & liquor 🥃, then pick up a predictive coloured stick. If the village spiritual leader has picked up a stick of the same colour, it means the spirit does not 🈲❌ approve the request

The dancers will perform to the fast rhythm of drums & striking pestles painted in both red & white colours 😃😁 SiennyLovesDrawing & the rest of participants were invited to join in the dance performance 

Wow‼Delicious Mekong river fishes 🐟🐟 lunch served by the Tai Saek local people  👭👬👫 As a fish lover, she really enjoyed the freshness of the river fishes with local ethnic cooking style here, absolutely an authentic local meal here 😋💯👍🏻

Hmm…She loves 😍♥️ the dishes serving with banana leaves 🍌🌱🌿, including the handmade banana leaves 🍌🌱🌿 tissue papers casing too

Special thanks 🙏🏻 to all the yummy delicious fish 🐟🐟 dishes, definitely an unforgettable fresh fish 🐟 lunch dining

Guess what❓⁉

This village people 👭👬👫 has start to adopt on Eco Tourism strategy i.e. having & managing the fish 🐟 farms by continuing breed the Mekong river  fishes 🐟🐟 The people 👭👬👫 started to catch the small fishes 🐟🐟 from the Mekong river & then transferring them to the fish 🐟 farms set at te riverside

According to the village people 👭👬👫, this fish 🐟 farms formed 1️⃣️ of the tourists destination while visiting to Tai Saek village

Yeah‼️ Mekong river fishes 🐟🐟 definitely 1️⃣️ of the many signatures within Nakhon Phanom province ~ actually a natural resource to the ethnic villages of this province in Thailand 🇹🇭

She also enjoyed the traditional music & song 🎶🎵🎼 in Tai Saek dialect too

However, she was told by the local people 👭👬👫 of this village that very limited younger generation are interested 😌

Ohh….So sad & disappointing to hear about it 😌

Really hope more of the younger generation of this village will learn to continue the music tradition cum cultures then 🤗🙂

Highly recommended 👆👍 as a souvenir 🎁 from Tai Saek village visit, a motivational support to the Tai Saek community 😉😃

She has tried & love it, yeah‼ Even though she is not ❌ a spicy lover, but this chilies sauce 🌶️ not very spicy & very yummy delicious 😋🤤 to enjoy with fresh vegetables 🥗🥒& dishes served 🥘🍛

The local people of this village also with a great go green 💚 initiative

She has attended a short workshop & learnt to handmade herself a bracelet with just recycled item 🙂

Yeah‼️ A brilliant idea💡~ A bracelet which made with the rings from the can beverages

A very simple & easy making process, you will sure impress about it & no worry about local language/ dialect communication failure too✌️☺️

Yeah‼️Don’t forget to enjoy a tour at the museum house (2️⃣️-storey, with free 🆓 admission)

Each tools/ equipments used is labelled with both Thai/ Laos/ English for tourists information, you will understand better the life at Tai Saek village✌️👍
