The 8 Wonders of Johor!

Still remember ๐Ÿ’ญ Johor state, Malaysia ๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡พ is the 1๏ธโƒฃst state that SiennyLovesDrawing ๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿป received an exclusive 1st media invitation from Tourism Johor in the beginning of her lifestyle blogging ๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿปโ€๐Ÿ’ป๐Ÿ“journey, then subsequently a few more.ย A special thank you ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป& great appreciation for the trust๐Ÿค

Hmm…Where are the 8๏ธโƒฃ wonders recently visited by SiennyLovesDrawing ๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿป at Johor ~ the Southern gateway into Malaysia ๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡พ โ“โ‰๏ธ

(i) Zeromile akaย Kilometre Zero0๏ธโƒฃ

What’s it meant forโ“โ‰๏ธ

It’s also written as KM0๏ธโƒฃ i.e.ย a particular location๐Ÿ“usually a country’s capital city ๐ŸŒ†๐Ÿ™ from which the distances are traditionally measured๐Ÿ”ข Historically, they were markers๐Ÿ“where drivers ๐Ÿš—๐Ÿš•๐Ÿš™๐ŸšŒ๐Ÿšš๐Ÿš could set theirย odometersย to follow the directions in the early days๐Ÿ˜„

For West Malaysia ๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡พ, this monument 0๏ธโƒฃ is located right in front of theย Johor Bahruย General Post Office ๐Ÿ“ฎ at Jalan Ibrahim Sultan. It’s 1๏ธโƒฃ of the rare cases where the zeromile 0๏ธโƒฃ is not located at the country’s capital city๐Ÿค—

SiennyLovesDrawing ๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿป is really impressed ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿคฉ & truly appreciate the different architectural designs of this building ๐Ÿข from her recent 1๏ธโƒฃst visit. The architecture of this building is uniquely Johor-Malay & yet infused with a strong Moorish-Andalusian elements to create a unique style ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป This symbolises the balance of authority & a family friendly at Johor state of Malaysia ๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡พ

  • The jewel / diamond ๐Ÿ’Ž (Jauhar in Arabic) ~ where name of Johor has derived
  • The pineapple ๐Ÿ & black pepper ~ Johorโ€™s economic prosperity

  1. I love the batik painting activity. Looks so pretty! When it comes to food I’m not that adventurous all the more when I travel. My stomach just can’ take too much. You seemed to enjoy some new cuisine. I’m intrigued with the crocodile farm! I think my kids would like to see that one day.

  2. Gosh! It will surely be an eventful day to visit Johor. I would sure love to try my hand in batik painting even when my painting skills are dismal! I also would definitely enjoy visiting each of these attractions you’ve been in and sample their sumptuous dishes, too! Oh, and did I mention, I could also use some of those ice candies in this very hot day! ๐Ÿ™‚

Hopefully, I can visit Johor one day with my family!

  6. Wow! What a comprehensive review of Johor. I have never been despite growing up in KL…. so sad right?? Maybe when I’m in Singapore next I’ll hop over and check things out. I don’t live in Malaysia anymore so when I see some of the food pics, I get really homesick! Bet that Asam batang ice cream was delicious!
