Hmmโ€ฆAfter checked-out, where nextโ“โ‰๏ธ

SiennyLovesDrawing ๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿป has travelled to Teluk Dalam, Pangkor ๐Ÿ–๐Ÿ& checked-in to Dโ€™Kampung Guest House ๐Ÿ ๐ŸŒŠ with her awesome writers gang๐Ÿ‘ญ๐Ÿ‘ฌ๐Ÿ‘ซ

This was her favourite โค๏ธ stay among all the accommodations ๐Ÿ›Œ๐Ÿ›€๐Ÿป๐Ÿšฟ during this 5๏ธโƒฃD4๏ธโƒฃN trip๐ŸŽ’๐Ÿ•ถ๐Ÿงข๐Ÿ‘Ÿ

Itโ€™s a new ๐Ÿ†• guest house ๐Ÿ ๐ŸŒŠ& was just launched on 2๏ธโƒฃ March, do refer linkย for the recent launch ๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽŠ updates from the guest house’s owner ๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿฝโ€โ™‚๏ธ personal FB account

SiennyLovesDrawing ๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿป was really impressed ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿคฉ with the beautiful sea view ๐ŸŒŠ of this 2๏ธโƒฃ-storey guest house ๐Ÿ

Haโ€ฆHaโ€ฆA short clip ๐Ÿ“น๐ŸŽฅ captured during the lunch๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿด

Yeahโ€ผ๏ธ Time for a tourist motorcycle ๐Ÿ ๐Ÿ island ๐Ÿ–๐Ÿtour ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Highly recommended ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘†๐Ÿปto rent a motorcycle ๐Ÿ (very reasonable charges) to explore Pangkor Island ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ–during your stay. Itโ€™s a small island ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ– with its circle โญ•๏ธ road of approximately 1๏ธโƒฃ8๏ธโƒฃkm. Hmmโ€ฆjust that at certain part, the circle โญ•๏ธ road is quite narrow & sometimes steep. Just donโ€™t speed, safety 1๏ธโƒฃst ya๐Ÿ˜Š

So, where were the places visitedโ“โ‰๏ธ

Dutch ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฑ Fort

Known locally as Kota Belanda ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฑ in Malaysiaโ€™s ๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡พnational language, with free ๐Ÿ†“ admission๐ŸŽŸ

This fort was built by the Dutch ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฑ in 1670 with its original aim as storage & protection of tin supplies that came from the Sultanate of Perak. It was destroyed in 1690 & then was rebuilt in 1743 by the Dutch๐Ÿ˜‰

Donโ€™t forget to read ๐Ÿ“– the signage which explains the history of this Dutch ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฑ Fort during your visit๐Ÿ˜€

Historic Rock/ Tiger ๐Ÿ…๐Ÿฏ Rock

Known locally as Batu Bersurat in Malaysiaโ€™s ๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡พnational language, with free ๐Ÿ†“ admission๐ŸŽŸ

On this huge rock, you will observe the sketches of a child ๐Ÿ‘ถ๐Ÿป being mauled by a tiger ๐Ÿ… ๐Ÿฏ Once said more in depth, this boy ๐Ÿง’๐Ÿป was an offspring of a Dutch ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฑ dignitary who was playing by the rock, but was sadly harassed by a tiger ๐Ÿ… ๐Ÿฏ The tiger ๐Ÿ…๐Ÿฏ seemed to be toying with the little child ๐Ÿง’๐Ÿป & this sacred rock is engraved with drawings of it๐Ÿ˜‰

It was dated back in 1743 & is currently protected under a roof. Behind it with a beautiful seaside view ya๐Ÿ–๐Ÿ๐ŸŒŠ

Itโ€™s hornbills ๐Ÿฆ๐Ÿฆโ€ผ๏ธWowโ€ผ๏ธ

SiennyLovesDrawingโ€™s ๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿป 1๏ธโƒฃst attempt for hornbills ๐Ÿฆ๐Ÿฆ feeding ๐ŸŒ She appreciates the clear guidance from the chalet owner, En Din ๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿฝโ€โ™‚๏ธ as known locally๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

En Din ๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿฝโ€โ™‚๏ธhas been feeding ๐ŸŒ๐ŸŒthe hornbills ๐Ÿฆ๐Ÿฆ for more than 1๏ธโƒฃ3๏ธโƒฃ years, he told that hornbillsโ€™ ๐Ÿฆ instinct very sharp, they will come by during sunset ๐ŸŒ… approximately 6.30pm daily

Guess whatโ“โ‰๏ธ

Itโ€™s free ๐Ÿ†“ for hornbills ๐Ÿฆ๐Ÿฆ feeding๐ŸŒ, regardless whether you are his chalet guests

Hmmโ€ฆLetโ€™s bring some bananas ๐ŸŒ๐ŸŒ/ contribute a small sum ๐Ÿ’ฐto En Din ๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿฝโ€โ™‚๏ธduring your hornbills ๐Ÿฆ๐Ÿฆ feeding ๐ŸŒ

    1. Ha…Ha…Canโ€™t help my lovessss to emojisss ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ Itโ€™s quite budget friendly especially for solo travellers or backpackers, plenty of budget accommodations with complimentary breakfast available for choice. You may opt to have local foods at hawkers stalls or cafes instead of restaurants too ๐Ÿ˜‰โ˜บ๏ธ My recommendation to have a whole island travel perhaps 4 to 5 days without rushing & to enjoy this relaxing island ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ˜ Or if your leave application permits, do stay longer ya ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿค—

  1. Malaysia is one of the places I wish to see. But unfortunately, it seems I simply can’t get a chance to finally do that. Love the view of the guesthouse and the floating mosque is incredible. A very nice review and love your writing style too.

  2. Wow, this might be a small Island, but it offers a lo of stunning scenery with all the amazing activities to try. I’m glad that you have suggested to ride a motorcycle when exploring Pangkor Island, and this I guess the best part when I amble around this Island. I haven’t been to Malaysia yet, and will surely include this in my itinerary. Thank you so much for sharing this with us.

  3. You mean that Rock with the kid’s drawing was preserved for years? That alone is an interesting fact. All the more that draws me to consider visiting the place. The only thing that i remember when we visited Malaysia was the chocolate house. Ihihi.

  4. Loved the little tidbits of info that you included in the post. ๐Ÿ™‚ was especially fascinated with the story about the tiger and the dutch boy- horrifying but still interesting. never been to malaysia and you made this come alive for me. And the view at your hotel looked amazing. ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. That house looks so cozy! Which of the locations would you say is your favorite? For me it has to be the floating mosque – it has great scenery and architecture in one. The food looks so yummy it makes me drool :p

    1. Ha…Ha…I meant the guest house that I stay i.e. D’kampung Guest House because of its beautiful view from my room. It was my favourite accommodation stay at Pangkor Island during my 5D4N there ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks for your personal thought sharing, agree with you, the floating mosque really with amazing architecture ๐Ÿ˜€

  6. Wow, you went to quite a lot of places for a day’s trip. It would have been tiring, but great travel companions make for a less tiring trip. Especially when you’re all having fun. The time just passes by and before you know it, the day is over but your heart is full of happiness and beauty at the adventure you had with friends. ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Yeah! Not so tiring as you noticed from the details of each destination shared, some are located quite close to each other or along the same road ๐Ÿ™‚ Still all right overall ๐Ÿ™‚ Yeah!! With a group of amazing people, your trip definitely worth much more because of the great friendship & companion ๐Ÿ™‚ I am blessed I have a great writers gang to travel with ๐Ÿ˜€
