Recent statistics ๐๐show that Australia’s ๐ฆ๐บ largest State, Western Australia (WA), has seen a significant increase โ๏ธ๐ in Malaysian ๐ฒ๐พ visitors, totalling > 109K pax in year ending December 2016 ~ a 35% increase โ๏ธ๐ from the year prior. WA also takes a 31% market share of Malaysian travellers ๐ซ๐ญ๐ฌ to Australia
It was really a privileged chance that SiennyLovesDrawing was being invited for an evening with Tourism WA recently. This great event certainly recalled her great WA travelling memories in 2014
At that time, SiennyLovesDrawing hasnโt started her blogging โ๏ธ๐๐ journey & she was on her own ๐ฏ& backpacking ๐for that 3 weeks trip with her favourite travel companion ~ Lonely Planet ๐~ & visited frequently to the WA visitor centre during her trip
SiennyLovesDrawing loves to travel ๐บusing the train ๐ ๐๐wherever possible & coincidently at that time there was a special promotion ย on their famous train system then. Of course, SiennyLovesDrawing bought the train pass ๐ & enjoyed her wonderful Perth train journey
All the guests to the event were given a postcard ๐& require a stamping of each after completing the journey of experiencing WA
Wow! So happy that SiennyLovesDrawing got to meet Chef ๐จ๐ปโ๐ณ Tony Howell in person. He is the Tourism WA food ๐ฅ & wine ๐ท ambassador. Moreover, SiennyLovesDrawing got to taste his 2 cooking dishes live from the event
Trust me, his cooking style is just so simple, and yet he is able to bring the freshness & natural taste of the food. Amazing! ๐๐ป
Dish 1 ~ The herb remoulade with scampi caviar ~
Dish 2 ~ The butter poached WA prawns ๐ฆ ๐ฆ , brioche, nashi pear ๐, celeriac & pine nut ๐ฅ ~
Yeah! SiennyLovesDrawing found her gold nuggets! So happy! ๐
SiennyLovesDrawing loves red wine ๐ท as always. She is also a cheese ๐ง lover โค๏ธ too!
During her WA trip in 2014, she has visited the a famous wine ๐ท town ~ย Margaret River
Then, SiennyLovesDrawing spoke to the Chocolatier & understand from him the different types of chocolates ๐ซto taste, crafted from WA ingredients i.e. sun plums & persimmons, strawberries ๐dark chocolate, caramel brulee, crunch & cream. SiennyLovesDrawing loves the strawberries one the most as there is a strawberry fruit in each chocolate, very chewy & tasty ๐ Moreover not too sweet the chocolate. Secret sharing here, SiennyLovesDrawing loves all kinds of chocolates ๐
There were 3 different types of WAโs hand brew coffee โ๏ธ served at the event i.e. Colombia Alma Catura, India Thalanar Estate & Ethiopia Natural.
SiennyLovesDrawing also enjoyed the beer ๐ป served during event. She loves the green one aka IPA i.e. the strongest taste & highest in alcohol contains. However, the beer still smooth & tasty to drink
SiennyLovesDrawing also enjoyed the Virtual Reality video ๐น of the beautiful coastal & under water world
So beautiful! Wish SiennyLovesDrawing can swim ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ & dive to opt for a diving trip at WA to enjoy the real under water view
SiennyLovesDrawing also participated a colouring & decoration of a postcard. However, she was so blur until left her beautiful master piece at the event…Sigh…Hope the card was well kept by the person who found it from the event then
Yeah! SiennyLovesDrawing completed all her WA experiences & obtained all stamps throughout. Fantastic event! ๐

To be invited by a WA tourism is such an honor and a great privilege. i haven’t been to Australia yet and you have inspired me to visit WA. Hahha. This is a fun post. Shows how much you love traveling and discovering new places. I imagined you with that Virtual Reality video. I am positive you enjoyed the view and experience. It was really like seeing the place firsthand. And meeting the chef. Looks like his serving is really generous and scrumptious. I love scrampi so much I just had my scrampi pasta yesterday,

Australia, the land down underrrr! Australia is a very large continent-country to explore. Those food seemed to be really made with great care and skill. Someday, I really wish to visit Australia soon!

We have relatives in Australia and i would love to visit the place someday. This is such a drooling post. I enjoyed this one. And im salivating over those chocolates… yay! Something i cant resist anytime!
