Enjoyable friends catch up at Hong Kong Dairy Tooth 👪👭🇭🇰

What have you recalled from your HK 🇭🇰 trip?

SiennyLovesDrawing has recalled very much about the HK foods cum snacks e.g. famous duck drumstick 🍗 , Polo bun(buttered pineapple bun), “ying yong” milk tea & etc. Also her HK shopping 🛒 🛍 She actually went on a free & easy trip many years ago to visit her friends who were working there with just a backpack 🎒 , but then she came back with extra 2 big bags 💼💼…Ha…Ha…😆

Last weekend, SiennyLovesDrawing had a friends 👪👭catch up at Dairy Tooth Ice House (DT). It is originated from HK 🇭🇰 with its 1^st outlet in Malaysia 🇲🇾 or its 1^st leap into the Southeast Asia market.

Ice House 冰室 was popular in the 50s & 60s in HK 🇭🇰 where it sells the cold drinks 🍹☕️🥛& light bites 🥙🥞. Generally, ice house is filled with local culture, people-friendly ambience with helpful staff that normally very familiar with the local community. It often with the nostalgic touch of decoration e.g. the small grid tiles, dark green window frames, vintage tables etc.

DT is founded by Summer Beverage Trading back in HK 🇭🇰, and it has ventured into China’s 🇨🇳 market in 2015 with its name “Da Tong Ice House” & with slightly more than a year, it has set up about 1,008 chain stores which located in 143 cities of 30 provinces in China. Dairy Tooth Ice House is used for Malaysia 🇲🇾 & its Southeast Asia outlets. However, you will note the 2 brand names are with the same initials i.e. DT.

So, what have SiennyLovesDrawing & her friends enjoyed in DT? 😁

Silky milk tea ☕️ is a signature drink of DT. DT uses red tea 🍃from Sri Lanka 🇱🇰 & evaporated milk  🥛from Netherlands 🇳🇱 (Black & White Evaporated Milk).

SiennyLovesDrawing loves the hot “ying yong” (or called as ‘cham” in Malaysia) served. She enjoyed it as it added more tea fragrance with creamier, silkier & smoother touch 👍🏻😋

Another signature of DT is their yellow in colour egg 🥚 puffs with a bee hive shape & with the fragrance of eggs. You will feel special after a bite with its crispy exterior & fluffy interior. SiennyLovesDrawing & her friends have tried both the original & seaweed egg puffs. She loves both 😋

She also enjoyed very much the chocolate 🍫 toast. The toast was nicely baked with thick layers of chocolate powder, most important it is not very sweet though 😃

She has packed a jar of Mong Kok mango jelly milk tea for her parents 👴🏻👵🏻 to taste it. It came with a glass jar which SiennyLovesDrawing intends to turn it into a handrawn art glass lamp after her parents consume the drink then. Ha…Ha…say bravo to her recycling ♻️idea with her handrawn art 😀

In her next visit to DT, SiennyLovesDrawing plans to enjoy the Chrysanthemum 🌼 pear 🍐 tea & the buttered pineapple bun (aka Polo bun) then 😀
