Mr Yu shared that he got involved at early age due to his family businesses in foods & beverages industry, “Of course I am passionate & love what I do too!”

Obviously can tell his enthusiasm towards coffee, he can just none stop sharing about everything & anything about coffee. So, if you are a coffee lover, you definitely need to have a only coffee conversation with Mr Yu 🤗👍🏻

There are various of coffee related courses conducting by Q Cup, if you have passion to run a coffee business in the future, welcome to check out

They offer a list of Specialty Coffee Association of America (SCAA) certified programmes.

Occasionally, Q Cup also will offer some workshops e.g. basic brewing, latte art etc.

SiennyLovesDrawing had an intensive briefing from Mr Yu about coffee beans, auctions, coffee beans roasting machines & equipment etc. to ensure quality of roasted coffee beans.

Currently, Q Cup Café starts its business operations at the 1st Floor of its building, while renovation still in progress at the Ground Floor, and projecting it will be ready by early 2017. The Q Cup teaching lab is located at the 2nd Floor.

Mr Yu informed that in the near future, Q Cup will serve wine & alcoholic beverages 🍷🍾🍸🍺

Through conversation with Mr Yu, really impressed with his passionate towards coffee. Moreover, SiennyLovesDrawing really amazed with his auctioned coffee bean collections.

Auction for coffee beans?

Was 1st time heard about great quality coffee beans actually required an auction to determine its owner for tasting. Wow! Really surprised & learnt much more about coffee.

Hand brew Ethiopia ~ Sidamo Guji Ardi, Natural ☕️ (served in both cold & hot)

Love the fruity aroma taste! Awesome!

According to Mr Yu, Geisha is one of the expensive coffee beans that he bid. Yeah! Felt privilege to taste it ~ a smooth sip with awesome pleasant Geisha coffee aroma & original slight bitter taste.

Superb nice! ☕️

Icy cool Cappuccino Freddo ☕️

Crostino Tapas ~ four cheese, goat cheese & sundried tomatoes, crab pate, salmon pate, XO sauce, beef salami ricotta, portobello cheese

This 7 flavours definitely compliment well with both coffee & wine, says Mr Yu

SiennyLovesDrawing’s favourites = all 7 👍🏻😋😃

SiennyLovesDrawing enjoyed the soft fluffy texture so much!

The Qmelet 🍳🧀

Definitely SiennyLovesDrawing’s choice of her favourite breakfast! 🍳🧀😋

Sautéed Tiger Prawns Angel Hair 🍝🍤

Q Cup homemade recipe Bolognese Angel Hair (for beef lover) 🍝

Croque-Madame ~ Turkey ham, hand grated gruyere cheese, mozzarella, white cheddar, homemade white sauce, with poached egg topping.

SiennyLovesDrawing felt highly satisfied after tasted it!

Tips: Do poke the egg 1st & let the egg yolks flow down & then mix with the cheese 😋

Q Cup Swiss Roll

SiennyLovesDrawing enjoyed the soft texture & the rich cream! Yummy!

Strawberry Lover 🍓

SiennyLovesDrawing highly recommends this dessert, love the well baked Danish croissant with ice cream & sweet strawberry!

Hmm…don’t ever get confused because of the similar waffle squares or lines, it’s not waffle, it’s Danish croissant 😆

  1. I am wondering. Did Mr. Wu talk about food pairing with which coffee? It’s just a thought that came to mind because wine is like that… there is a right wine for certain foods. Anyway, I am glad you had the experience and if not for anything, the things you learned makes you a well-rounded person.

Ohh…I love coffee very much, a must have every morning…but I am trying very hard to limit myself to max 2 cups a day!

Just as you said, I love coffee aroma too, so when I smell it, I will wanna taste it too 😆😉☕

  3. I don’t drink coffee, just because I have never liked it. My family and I have often talked about how good a business a coffee shop would be though. So, those courses would definitely interest me. I have to admit that I didn’t realise how much there is to know about coffee!

    1. Ha…Ha…interestingly to note you are not a coffee person & would like to venturing into coffee business 🤗😊
Hmm…perhaps a tea cafe, am just assuming you like tea…commonly people will opt for either “coffee or tea?” 😆☕

  4. I’m not a big fan of coffee, but I always caught myself holding a cup coffee maybe because there’s something in the aroma of it that is soothing to my nose. I like the process of brewing of their coffee. This will surely be a place for people that loves food and coffee as well. Thank you for sharing, I might visit this place if I get the chance.

  5. You know instantly if someone is passionate about what they are doing. You’ll hear it in their voice. You’ll see a twinkle in their eyes. And they can talk for hours about their passion. 🙂 I would love to meet Mr. Yu also. 🙂

  6. I admire people who can concoct different coffee recipes. Why so? Because I can’t for the life of me operate sophisticated coffee machines. I’m your boiled water + coffee powder kinda girl. Hmm well, I can work the simple coffee presses and the machine that requires coffee pods but not the super-complicated machines. Reading your post I learned that coffee beans are being auctioned as well – I thought only flowers are auctioned. It’s great to know new information on a daily basis I should say.

    1. Ha…Ha…me too! Very simple minded when come to having daily meals & beverages! Guess what? I have requested Mr Yu to design something that will be easier & more convenience for working adults to enjoy a cup of healthy hand brew coffee at home before heading to work 😆☕
Hey…Of coz I don’t meant for 3+1 coffee which easily available now 😉🙃

  7. Hi Sienny, coffee, cheese, wine and pasta are just absolutely irresistible things to talk about and drool over 😋 ! Where is the pleasure in life without these things? It’s interesting to note that the Geisha coffee bean is the most expensive, probably cos its Japanese …

  8. If I visited the Q Cup Cafe I feel like someone would have to roll me out of there! The food looks delicious. I am a huge coffee addict as well! I would be interested in checking out the coffee auction just to see what it’s like.

  9. I love coffee and I would always be up for a lesson on different types of coffees. I have been invited once to Starbucks to a coffee course and it was when I first found out how the coffee gets it’s aromas: by the trees that grow alongside the coffee plantations. Apparently in Africa there are a lot of orange and lemon trees and that’s why the flavour of this coffee is more citrusy.
